Honestly i'm still in the loop regarding Rishabh's character. Some days he seems like the ideal guy next door with a big loving heart and on other days i get domineering vibes from him. Especially going by today's episode, i strongly dislike his treatment of Sameer. He was totally channeling Kareena's mannerisms while conversing with him. He can't stand him right? I've noticed this trait of him from the start. He treats him like a toiler. Why doesn't he like it when he behaves like family...i mean he's family if i am not wrong?

I mistakenly though you said that rishabh treats sameer like a toilet 😆 Silly me!
Honestly, rishabh in the promo of the show seemed like he would be the nicest out of the two brothers, but I don't like the fact that he held back from helping sarla out of jail just because he thought his mum was against it and because of family. He said himself to karan that family comes first, and he was even quite peeved at karan for helping sarla, evidently because he himself had denied help to preeta, and he feels like it is a let down on his image that his younger brother did what he wanted to.

For him, he follows the rules too much and is too much about family, but karan doesn't care about the rules and he will even go against his family to do what his gut feeling tells him is the right thing to do.

And yeah! Even I disliked the way he was talking to sameer. Rishabh acts like he's doing everybody a great service most of the times, and his overtly sweet nature sometimes seems like a facade to me for the sake of maintaining some image of being and ideal.

Do share if you get any enlightenment on his character 😆.. even I don't understand his reason for being mean to Sameer. He is a sort of matter of fact, no nonsense person. Somex his words really leave a good impression but it's very less often. I think he's more of an aloof and loner - whilst Karan is more the touchy, hug, friendly one that everyone can relate to.

Haha. Yeah. I had a feeling toiler might come off as toilet but couldn't find any other appropriate word to describe that. 😆 You're right about everything. We can still excuse him for not helping Preeta and her family cause it was his mom's "wish" and he being the "good" boy had to keep up with his image. But about his behavior towards certain people (Sameer, Sherlyn etc)...his attitude regarding some situations (When he lashed out on Karan for helping Preeta while being happy at the same time, the way he commands right over Preeta in an indirect way..like he needs to know every single thing happening in her life etc)...his way of handling things (The whole engagement fiasco...he was just whinnying over his inability to help Preeta, he didn't think about what could be done or what could have happened that day not even once, him ending up on his self created path of destruction with Sherlyn...even he himself admitted that) all these point to him being a person who has little to no control over his emotions and also he can't hold his ground for long. But never did i think he can be rude to someone... but going by all his recent shades, he definitely can be downright mean. Waiting to see what more revelations of his character are in store for us.

The actor who plays the role of Rishabh is quite good at portraying a negative role i heard. So i'm all in for that but his transition from being the ideal good guy to a negative character needs to be slow and dealt with carefully, otherwise it'd be a total disappointment. But the way they're showing him, i'm totally confused. Is he really a good guy or has he been kind of arrogant right from the beginning? Don't know if that was done intentionally to actually turn Sameer negative in the future if Rishabh and Shrishti happens but for now, Sameer is really sweet and innocent and he doesn't deserve this treatment of him.

Yeah. We had only seen his good side in terms of his behavior towards his family and Preeta's. But definitely there's more to it than meets the eye and slowly but surely we're getting to witness that. Karan from the start has been an open book to us, the audience. He is whatever he is in front of everyone. Rishabh on the other hand is a concealed character sometimes opinionated.

To add more to this conversation, I think we should really look at rishabh's reaction and behaviour in the deepak scene as well as in the scene where karan is confronted by family for bailing out sarla.

Rishabh, although no doubt a thorough gentleman and respects women a lot, his outbreak on deepak and displeasure towards karan at that time for helping preeta's mother when he himself had declined her help all point towards possessiveness for preeta. He wants to know everything about preeta, wants preeta to share all her problems with him, and wants to maintain a good image of himself in front of preeta at all times, besides the obvious that he cares for her and respects her too, but the sarla incident only showed how he doesn't know how to stand his ground when needed, and didn't come forward to help her for the sake of family, instead of thinking, like karan, that it was the right thing to do.

I also don't like how he acts with sherlin. C'mon! He agreed to marry her just because preeta convinced him, and although he fixed the marriage to sherlin without being forced to and by his own will, he is acting like he was put at gunpoint or blackmailed to marry sherlin. I don't like that he flirts with preeta and constantly tries to gain her attention and affection whilst he is engaged to sherlin and treating sherlin with ignorance, that too, when he doesn't even know she is evil. It would be a different thing if he knew she was evil and being ignorant towards her and running around preeta in front of her, but where he doesn't know she is evil and cheating him and his family, he is doing all this to sherlin. His behaviour is the reason why sherlin targets preeta and her family all the time.

I personally think the character of Rishabh is slowly disintegrating. He was the perfect guy at the start of the show. Hard-working, family-oriented, nice and caring. Which he still is, but we're seeing the negative sides to this qualities.

Rishabh is still hard-working, yet this has made him treat Sameer like a mere employee rather than a family member. I know Sameer isn't technically isn't a member of the Luthra family, but most of the other family members, sans Kareena, treat him like an equal. Kareena treats him like a servant, because of her obsession with superiority. Whilst Rishabh made it look like he was doing Sameer a favour, making him work for him.

Rishabh is still family-oriented, yet this made him choose his family's decision and final say, rather than him standing up for Preeta, or atleast searching for the truth to prove Preeta's family innocent. He didn't want to go against his mother's wishes. Which in most cases, is a good quality. Except in this case, was a great manipulated move on Kareena's part.

Rishabh is still "nice" and "caring", yet in order to keep up with the image, and impress Preeta, he seemed genuinely annoyed that Karan was the one who helped Preeta instead of himself. Even declaring that Karan doesn't care about Preeta as much as he himself does.

Rishabh is a complex character and Manit is playing him amazingly. But I think he will become grey or a villain.

Rishabh has such a gud image in d eyes of Preeta.
She always calls him a person with good manners,a perfect man and overall preeta considers him a working model of perfection.
I think all this is over hyped to show us her faith being broken someday.
And Rishabh seems as someone with hidden personality... Seems like a hypocrite to me.And honestly his treatment of Sameer is disgusting.
Just my thought.
