The tele star quells rumours about his link-up with co-star Juhi
Parmar as he gets ready to tie the knot with his long time
girlfriend.
So, tele actor Hussain Kuwajerwala is getting married for real. And
before you rub your hands in glee at already knowing that the bride-
to-be is his co-star Juhi Parmar, lets burst the bubble.
Hussain's on screen atoot bandhan is not an off screen reality. The
actor's getting married to his girlfriend of several years, whose
name he is tightlipped about.
"Initially rumours about myself and Juhi were very disconcerting. But
then we both simply learnt to laugh it off. Now that I have made
known my marriage plans I hope people will stop linking me with
Juhi," says Hussain hopefully.
Reluctant to reveal anything about his bride to be, the young actor
only gives us to understand that the lucky maiden is not associated
with the tele world.
Sensing his reluctance to share anything more about the matters of
the heart, we move on to other interesting topics like the current
deluge of reality shows on the small screen.
"Actually this is just a passing phase. The audience needs some
change and the reality shows are providing them with entertainment
which is off beat. But there is still a large audience for the daily
soaps," he says. So, why did he walk out of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi
Bahu Thi?
"The serial took a big leap forward in time and my character suddenly
aged, besides I had problems with dates too," he clarifies. Quite
comfortable with working in women centric serials Hussain
says, "Kumkum is incomplete without Sumit, so my character is equally
important.
Now that the soap will be aired at prime time, I hope the serial will
fetch greater viewer response." The actor seems to have this thing
for working in serials with initials K.
"Perhaps. The initial of my surname is also K. I cannot comment on
others, but at least I am not at all superstitious and I do not meet
astrologers before taking up any project. It just happened by chance
that all the serials I have or am working in start with letter K," he
smiles.
The versatile actor has also anchored many shows and admits to have
enjoyed the experience. "In fact if I had to chose between doing
daily soaps or anchoring, I would chose the latter.
For not only does anchoring pay well but the working hours are also
pretty comfortable. Daily soaps involve odd working hours and at
times it becomes difficult to take out even an hour for yourself,"
explains Hussain.
Having received the best pati award twice in reel life, now it's time
for the actor to prove his worth as a husband in real life as well!
