DANCING BLUES
He says that as a college student he would wait throughout the year for the Navratri to begin so that he could enjoy hours of energetic dandiya. "We would dance till wee hours and still long for more. Money was a major problem then and with limited pocket money, hiring traditional dresses was a farfetched dream," he adds.
TOUGH AND TOUGHER
He's the winner of a dance reality show and is anchoring another. Ask him, what is tougher — putting on the dancing shoes or anchoring and he promptly replies, "Both are challenging. If dancing comes with the pressure of giving a scintillating performance for two minutes then anchoring means lastminute changes. There is a lot of surprise element in both."
CRICKET FAN
Hussain is a big time cricket fan and swears by the magic of T20. "T20 rocks. It's the best thing that can ever happen to Indian cricket. It keeps the cricket crazy people glued to the TV sets and yet gives them sufficient time to attend to other tasks."
LUCKY MAN
"I have never planned anything in life, but life has been
full of surprises and I
have somehow always
managed to get a
good bargain. I am
a lucky man, is
all I can say,"
says Hussain.
REALITY SHOWS
Reality shows are ruling the roost these days. Advocating these shows he says, "They are the need of the hour and they are here to stay. It is exciting to see the journey of the contestants. You never know when the dark horse begins to lead."
