"I'm Used To Girls Telling Me How Good Looking I Am"

KUMKUM'S HUSSAIN - TV'S MOST ELIGIBLE BACHELOR!

HUSSAIN IS THE CUTE GUY who played Chirag in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi
Bahu Thi
- an identity that has come to be attached with him even
after two years of his exclusion from the show. The reason: it
established an image of a guy any girl would proudly take home to her
mama, and would not worry about not getting an approval! Cute
chocolate-boy looks
, the role of quintessential good son Chirag in
Kyunki, the good husband in Kumkum and the lively host in Khuljaa Sim
Sim have only made sure that he is one of the most in-demand dream
boys of TV and perhaps the most eligible bachelor too
. Much like a
lot of other male stars like Sujal, women go weak in their knees over
his cute looks, and swoon over him, the moment they spot him.

Tell Hussain this and he blushes and flashes his electric smile and
modestly
says, "That's only because my characters are so positive and
so nice. Women really like such sweet characters. They see me as
their ideal boyfriend, husband, lover and what have you. But mind
you, they don't say that only in terms of a lover, boyfriend or
husband. I've had women telling me that they think I'm their idea of
an ideal brother, son and friend too." But it's the screen image that
they all love! Hussain says he can relate the most to his image of
Sumit from Kumkum. "I'm certainly not a stud like Arjun of Krisshna
Arjun. I'm to some extent like Sumit because he's also a very family
guy, very hardworking.
But at the same time, he's too good to be
true. He doesn't make mistakes that I have done in real life," he
says.

Hussain is not abashed about the fact that he's a hit with the fairer
sex. "Most of my fans are women, of course. I would like to believe
that I have more women fans than men," he laughs. So what's the best
compliment he has got from a female? "Women do weird things at times.
Most of them ask me if I'm married or dating someone. Once, a 40-year-
old woman asked me if I was married, and the way she asked me was
obviously not to improve her general knowledge about me, it was
certainly not with a decent intention," he says shyly. Hussain says
that his fans are so crazy for him that they can recognize him even
by his fingers! "Once, Khuljaa Sim Sim had shown only my hand
gestures in a promo, and I had my fans telling me that they knew it
was me!
(zaroor humare tarhan hoon ge😳) They recognized me by my fingers; that was really amazing. It
feels great to think that people are so crazy for me," he gushes.

Good looking that Hussain is, he has been enjoying the attention of
girls even before he became the star that he is. "I'm used to girls
telling me how good looking I am, and then going gaga about my looks.
When I had just got my portfoli shot, there used be so many girls
giving me gifts like shirts or chocolates and all. It used to get
very embarrasing at times
awww. But now I'm used to it," he says coolly.
Like most stars have gone through, Hussain has also had crazy female
fans throwing themselves at him. "There have been so many times that
women have come too close and touched me, but before I could realize
anything or do anything about it, it's all over and done with," he
says. "It happens with everyone; but you have to take it in good
spirits because thats the only thing you can do about it. A lot of
times I've had scratches on my hands and body because I get pulled
by fans and then there are the security people pulling you to protect
you. But it's all a part and parcel of the profession." uhh poor thing.. i wont eva pull him or scratch him or sumthing.. bas door door se he daikhoon😳.. honestly

That's all about fans and followers. But there must surely be someone
who's there for keeps? "Ah, now that's one place I'm not letting you
go," he smiles, "I'm not saying anything about that!" But his smile
gives away everything, and it doesn't need a psychologist or a face
reader to say that there certainly is someone wuhh k0ol. So is there, we
insist. "It's going to be a question mark." We have heard that
there's a special someone whom he has been seeing for the last four
year or so, and who stays in Juhu. Correct? "My lips are sealed," he
says adamantly. And we give up!uhoo

From the real girl to the reel one he hobnobs with all day, last
heard, there were rumors linking him and co-star Juhi Parmar. He
exclaims, "It's just a rumor. It's very difficult for people to
understand that two co-stars of opposite sexes can be just friends
too. We have known each other for a long time and have been
comfortable in each other's company. There's no enmity between us
like many co-stars have these days, and that's enough for us. Juhi
and I are certainly not seeing each other," he concludes.

Coming to his professional life now, Hussain became the blue-eyed boy
for many with his role of Chirag in Kyunki, but before long he was
gone. What went wrong? "Nothing went wrong. I did not leave the show
per se. There were too many characters added to the show. The focus
was getting too distributed and deviated. Then I was getting better
offers from other places too, like Khuljaa & Krisshna Arjun, so I
thought it makes more sense to take those up rather than do Kyunki.
The Kyunki guys also understood my perspective and let me go," he
says. But didn't that mean compromising on fame, since Kyunki is the
most watched serial? "Yeah, it did. But, it's not as if I had nothing
else to keep me in the public eye. I have Kumkum which is doing so
well, and of course, Khuljaa Sim Sim too."

Talking of Khuljaa, Hussain replaced Aman Verma as the main anchor.
One has heard that ever since, things haven't been cordial between
him and Aman. Is that true? "Not true," he says, "Aman and I are
mature individuals. We are working together in Kumkum😲 and there are
no negative vibes of any kind between us. We've had conversations
about me doing the show." As an aftethought, he says, "Only I
couldn't take as many liberties and didn't get levee as Aman did,
because he was a big name already. But I did the show with my own
conviction, my own approach and style. Now things are very smooth and
I have been accepted as the good replacement. But yeah, I didn't have
any delusion that I would hit bull's eye as Aman's replacement since
day one, so I put in a lot of hard work in rehearsals."

Other than these two shows, Hussain isn't doing any serial. Is he not
taking his career seriously? Kumkum is not a primetime show, and how
many people are interested in a game show? Hussain clears our
misconception, "Kumkum is doing well for itself. Being an afternoon
show, we are getting a TRP, equivalent to a primetime show, and to be
nominated for an award at the beginning proves that the show is
popular. And I've got tremendous response for Khuljaa as well. And at
one point I was doing Kyunki, Krisshna Arjun, Kisme Kitna Hai Dum and
Kumkum. But that was a phase of my over-working. This phase is for
relaxing and taking things easy now," he smiles satisfactorily.
Anyway, the show saw a generation leap, and one couldn't imagine
Hussain playing a father! "I wasn't apprehensive about that," he
says, "I agreed to do the generation leap thing. I know I'd look very
young, but it was the producers' and channel's call. They have gone
ahead with it and shown so many young people old and have been
successful. Nothing beats success! So I'm sure I'd have been
accepted."

Accepted he certainly has been, and more than accepted by women
especially. "I don't mind being the chocolate boy. In fact, I'm quite
happy about it. Everyone loves positive people, and who wouldn't like
to be loved?" he says as a parting shot. Hmm..love is what he is
getting a lot. Don't believe us? Over to his fans then!

hmmm.. over to us.. uhh now im speechless.. m just lost in his words... wil contribute my comments later on😳
