Kumkum is still shocked, and she can't believe this truth. Rakeshnath tells her that he also didn't want Karan to come to India but Karan insists on coming to India. But Kumkum argues that it isn't possible becuase they cremated Jatin in their presence.
Then Rakeshnath tells Kumkum the whole story — how Karan who looked exactly like Jatin met with a major accident and was admitted in the same hospital, where Jatin was already taking treatment for his brain tumour — Karan died in the hospital, and then Rakeshnath gave money to the doctor to replace the dead Karan for Jatin.
Rakeshnath then tells her that Jatin had lost his memory after the operation and he took advantage of it, and took him to London and made him Karan Kapoor.
