Anuj's show to launch tonight
Titled Khiladi No 1, Saxena's first show as producer will have college students competing with each other

Anuj Saxena, the doctor turned actor turned producer is finally ready to launch his first show. Abhay of Kkusum is the man behind production house Maverick, and has previously produced several commercials.
The show titled Khiladi No. 1will premiere tonight and will be telecast weekly on Zee Smile. This game show will make college students compete against each other to complete the assigned tasks. It will be hosted by Sameer Kocchar, currently anchoringDangerous.
Speaking on the launch, Mr Nitin Vaidya, business head, Zee Smile said, "We are adding one more flavour to our current programming. Khiladi no. 1 is a very interesting game show between two colleges for our younger audience. We are confident that our audience will appreciate our endeavour."
It comes as a surprise, that someone who has mainly acted in soaps on channels like Star Plus ans=d Sony is launching a game show on Zee Smile.
However, Anuj Saxena chose to remain unavailable for comment. He failed to respond despite several attempts to call him. It is truly surprising how one blows the trumpet on launching a production house (he threw a party to announce the launch) and chooses not to share details about the show.
Sources close to the actor say that he isn't aware of the show launching tonight.
Gareth Thomas, senior marketing manager of Zee Smile, confirmed that the show is being produced by Anuj Saxena's production house. He says, "Maverick and we were mulling over this idea for some time. It is a group effort mainly by the channel and the production house."
