Hussain Kuwajerwala has proved his might in making his presence felt in an industry flooded with fresh faces and talent. Hussain's stint on Kyunki won him the ever-popular role of Sumeet in Kumkum. And today Sumeet and Kumkum are as famous as Bollywood stars. Hussain's down to earth behaviour and the simplicity with which he interacts with his fans has won him many a hearts.

Here are some excerpts from the interview with the man himself:

How do you like this concept of celebrating with your television co-stars?
It's a nice concept… From the viewer's point of view, they get to see a variety of artists together on one show. It's a new and innovative thing on the Indian television that encourages healthy competition. Moreover, it is like working with an extended family.

Do you think events like this will increase the popularity of the show?
It does. There is a lot of hype created before the telecast. It's something that people don't get to see very often. Of course, there will be a spike in popularity.

Should this concept be encouraged for other programmes?

Anything that is overdone is not accepted. If it is overdone, then it will take away the charm. Once in while it's fine.

So you mean we can see more of this in future?
STAR Parivar is a huge family… so you can't possibly have all the members participating in one event. But yes, people would love to see them more often.

Hussain is here to stay, and while he is here, he assures all you Indyans out there a great time and lots of surprises every time you see him on screen. Hussain wishes everyone a great year ahead and expresses his gratitude with his performance - just for you.
