Dulhe Raja: Hussain Kuwajerwala |
With the D-day just a few months away, the actor is readying the place where he will be moving in with his bride. Currently he lives with his mother and older brother Qaeed at Indralok.
The Kuwajerwala family acquired two flats on the 16th floor in a 25-storey building Royal Empire, which has come up exactly behind their current address. One apartment will house the family and the other for the newly weds.
Space matters
Presently, the family lives in a 2-BHK apartment of 950 square feet. In his new abode, at Royal Empire, Hussain will have 1010 square feet to himself and Tina.
Qaeed, (who has directed Miditech's Saara Akaash and is currently directing Balaji's Kasautii Zindagi Kay) has also purchased a 3-BHK apartment of 1350 square feet in the same building. The possession has been granted and the actor will shift within the next two months, after the interiors are done.
Piya Ka Ghar
The main reason for moving was Hussain's decision to settle down in matrimony. Another important reason is that the family wanted larger space.
Says Hussain, "The initial plan was for all of us to move into bhai's 3-BHK. Bhai had bought the place three years back. But now with me getting married, I thought of getting a 2-BHK place of my own. The main worry was moving away from my family, so when I heard that there was a place available in Royal Empire, where bhai already had a place, I grabbed it." Hussain had booked his flat about a year ago.
"Mummy can stay with either of us Qaeed or me. There is absolutely no problem on that. She could even be shuttling off and on and sleeping wherever she wants. We will leave that to her," he adds.
Tina's a working gal
The nayi maalkin of the apartment, Tina, has seen her naya ghar and already approved. "Tina will have a big say in doing up the interiors. She loves styling homes and is very good at it," says Hussain.
Tina, who stays in Mahim, has an independent business of her own. "She is into exporting garments. She will continue to do her business after marriage," Hussain informs.
Flashback to college
Hussain and Tina first met at Jaihind College. Both were in the same year studying BCom. "It's been eight years now, but it seems just like yesterday," says Hussain. It was love at first sight.
"Looks was definitely one reason. But more importantly, we got along fabulously. She soon became very special for me and I committed to her in college itself," he adds.
When's the big day?
The families in question — Kuwajerwalas and Dariras — have not yet taken a call on the exact date and venue of the marriage.
"Whatever and wherever, it happens. I am a very happy man today. I am about to marry a very thoughtful girl who understands the pressures of working in the entertainment industry. There have been days when we think of catching up and are keen to meet, but a change in schedule cancels the date but she has always been very considerate," he says.
How did Tina react when the media linked him up with his co-actor Juhi Parmar? "Tina knows the exact truth. She always laughed, what else," says Hussain.
