Read that this Mon episode is titled aaj likhenge kal which is a celebration of Zee TV's 25 years.. and a special four and a half hour mahasangam will be aired on 16th Oct from 6.30 pm to 11 pm.😳


After having seen maha sangam promo, I doubt if Zee can achieve what they are intending. Channel expects its regular audience to sit thru for 4.5 hrs prime time on a week day that too non-stop to watch something rather like a telefilm that showcases a new story of mother and her daughters marriage woes by throwing carrots of Zee popular characters who may mostly attend this marriage just as guests, and they are expecting to capture TRPs with this strategy?? Additional confusion would be what are Colors TV serial ESS maa & beti doing in Zee mahasangam promo?? 😕

So there is NO scope to air regular episodes of Zee daily soaps on 16th Oct, Now this mahasangam promo is not clear nor is it appealing, and when Balaji writers/creatives are handling this telefilm kind of mahasangam show can't have high hopes after having seen how lousily recent GC special episode was written and boringly executed..😳


Some section of audience may rather take a break for a day on 16th Oct from watching Zee when they won't have regular episodes to catch up to..🤔

Check this promo that Zee has been airing since Tuesday.


When did Pragya of Kumkumbhagya ever met Preeta in her life??? Promo doesn't indicate who Pakhi is, if Zee is launching a new daily or is it shifting a daily from Colors to Zee with same mother-daughter duo... 😕


Glad some people like me read that article earlier about intent of this maha sangam..


PS. Zee could gave rather planned to telecast this 4.5 hrs telefilm kind of special as maha episode on some weekend afternoon slot to celebrate its 25 years using all its serials popular characters as guests, this way confusion with regular serial episodes on a Monday could have been simply avoided..

zee is trying different ways to get to the top spot...for week thirty eight they were on top by what seems to be turning out a 'fluke'...by some magical happenings kdb went from sixth to second spot on the charts and brought zee to be the top channel...however it was short lived...let us face it...the majority of zee shows has not been bringing in good trp ratings and as such will not get good advertising rates...i am still baffled by the ratings of week thirty eight and thirty nine...so they are trying desperately to bring their ratings up...zee has only two shows going for it which is kkb and kdb...kdb has to be shown to be on par with kkb and so this is going to be done in a lot of ways...now we are having a four plus hours mahasangam which no one like me may be unable to comprehend since i only watch kkb...if there are others like me to cannot identify with the rest of the shows how are we going to sit for four hours to watch this mahasangam...zee marketing and production seems to have a limited amount of suggestion to market properly their shows...they rely on their top show to bring the others in the frontline...whilst this may not be wrong it takes away from the top shows...what ever this mahasangam is about is left to be seen...but for four and a half hours that is a long period of time...and you are right @lav2725 pragya has not met her sisters from kdb...and even more disturbing for me is that she seems to have no connection to her mother and rodadi...but this is done according to convenience///

Forget about Zee, other than KKB, I don't follow any other daily fiction soaps of any Hindi GECs and I'm glad for that. especially during last 1 yr have completely cut off, atleast earlier used to randomly flip thru dailies once in a while on weekdays but no longer do that..😊 Being online sometimes do come across high point spoilers/articles of various fictional shows so do have a fair idea on what's happening in TV world, but nothing is entertaining nor intriguing to hook up to a daily. 😒


Several new Hindi dailies that have started in the last 1 or 2 years with much fanfare, heavy budgets, big star cast etc. have already shut down, few are shutting down and few are on radars of channels..now couple of great production quality and good content shows also couldn't get audience acceptance. 😛 Its high time channels, producers, creatives, writers and advertises wake up and collectively spend time, money and efforts for once and do a proper market research of both urban and rural Indian markets about daily fiction worlds outreach, time slots, focus areas, emotional connect of different sections and acceptance to different genres..Current Indian households are far more informed, opinionated and well read but with lesser attention spans and more available choices when compared to 5 years back..while majority still continue to relax and want to get entertained at home before TVs.


Coming to Zee, after many years of lull period and giving away their market position to other GECs, Zee channel heads definitely made an attempt to fix their weekend and weekday programming right from 2016 onwards, above all Zee TV now has new CEO and Biz heads. Also this team needs to be credited for not hastily keep changing time slots or pulling down their dailies overnight making cast, crew and producers jobless on roads, unlike some other channels.


One good thing about current Zee team is, they are less interfering when compared to other channels in creative aspects of their shows and even in operational functioning they seem to be supportive to their producers. Their interest is majorly confined to marketing and promotions. That's also a bad thing since they have no control or less supervision, hence seem to be taken for granted by creative and production teams and often are clueless about various track happenings of their shows. In such cases even great efforts in marketing and promotions may not reflect ground reality nor can they be sustainable to deliver results always nor can be trusted by audience.. both need to be balanced..😳


Coming to change in logo color to orange of Zee from blue, not sure how from 17th Oct onwards Zee daily shows can reflect new tagline 'aaj likhenge kal' motto with new logo 😕 as NONE of current shows are so progressive, positive or happy or energized.. 😆


PS. I want to be proven wrong, but observing Indian mass mentality in recent times, expecting people during current season to sit thru 4.5 hrs at their homes to watch a telefilm on a Monday is absurd (diverse audience sits thru sometimes to watch sports on weekdays for long duration's but not telefilms) and above all terming it as a 'blockbuster' maha sangam in a confusing promo is reflecting their ignorance plus arrogance..😳
For better outreach and to grab TRPs they could have telecast ZRA2017 event on 14th Oct, Sat evening and instead aired this logo launch mahasangam special on 15th Oct, Sun afternoon.

Zee & Balaji team seem to be targeting way too many things with one mahasangam special episode scheduled for Mon..😕 Below is an update..

Lot of people still seem to be getting confused seeing promos. This Zee maha sangam has NOTHING to do with current story line of KKB or any other Zee daily shows. KKB will resume back its telecast from Tue episode at 9pm from where it has left last Fri, as no regular episodes of Zee dailies will be aired on Mon. 😊
