Bizarre episode today. Aliya drags Tanu to her room and reprimands her, telling her that she was just begging to be suspected 😆 Tanu rightly asked her why she's trying to save her, when Aliya wonders whether to protect her or turn her in. What was bizarre about this was that it was going on even while the cops were
still in the house, since when they returned to the hall, they were still there.
The inspector gave Abhi the pic Purab was carrying, that had all the Abhigya montages. One thing I wondered: why not include one that had those 2 marrying? As it is, Abhi gets flashbacks wondering where he had worn that same sherwani, attached a mangal sutra on which girl, et al, so a picture here would have made more sense. Also, knocking off Purab made sense had that picture never been delivered: assuming that it would have been key in getting Abhi to remember. W/ Abhi getting this, knocking Purab out was meaningless in terms of the story.
The scene in the ER. Like others have wondered, why aren't Sarla et al there, since they are the closest thing to what Purab has as family - and no, Abhi doesn't legally count! I wasn't remotely happy to see Aliya in that room: I wish Pragya had - a la Dadi - accused her of trying to kill Purab the way she had tried w/ Bulbul. And it was a stupid lamentation on Aliya's part - telling Purab that she loved him, which is why she hated Bulbul. If the latter ain't supposed to return, I'd like Purab to kick the bucket: the way his character has been written, he ain't moving beyond Bulbul. In fact, if one looks critically, the Rabul relationship has always been tighter than Abhigya.
The 2 agents who were trying to get Abhi to throw a party - kudos to them for knowing which button of his to press. Once they told him that Purab had promised them the party, not even Aliya could abort the deal. 😆😈 Speaking of which, if Aliya loves Purab so, then why doesn't she have the same attitude as Abhi on making sure his promise was kept? And in the process, the marriage ceremonies take a back seat to this 😈😆
The Mitali-Indu scene was funny - both of them wearing lime green saris, w/ just nuanced differences b/w them. What was funnier - Aliya sees them, accuses Mitali of being completely worthless, and then assigns her the task of removing that Fuggi poster and just hanging the frame. Mitali does it, but unknown to her, Dasi sees it and puts it back. Now, when they see the painting, Aliya will again be pissed @ Mitali for no fault of her own.
One thing I wondered: if Abhi knows about that painting, and were to find it missing after the unveiling, how does that help Aliya? They have the party, but Abhi is the only one who would be embarrassed. He won't suspect Pragya, so it'll have to be one of the others. So how would that further any of Aliya's plans?
