Today's episode definitely ranks as one of the lamest episodes of Kumkum Bhagya in my opinion.
First of all, a mega star like Salman Khan arrives (random that ID just brings in Salman-Sonam). There was so much opportunity to present him as the star he is like they did with Ek tha villain cast. Abhi is a celebrity and they could connect Salman to him and have the whole of MM including Abhi fangurl him. But they brought him as someone whom even Abhi did not recognize.
And then the whole family starts off to complain about their issues. I mean what even! And then they fight as to who has to go first.
Sonam just stands clueless in her pretty attire. 😆
So was Salman too, waiting to be talked to. And whatever dialogues they chose to give to Salman in his speech to Abhi was forced and didn't flow into the situation much. Nor did it add to the story of AbhiGya in any significant way.
Even the dance got spoiled. Almost everyone was there in a little space and it was a crowd.
And then the most random thing was Abhi (who has issues with God, rituals etc.) handover a Ganesh statue to Salman. It was as if Abhi just found something he saw, grabbed it and gave it to Salman.
And I cracked up when Salman and Sonam said bye finally. I felt like they never would want to come back to the madhouse that is MM.
Gosh, who directed this epiosde?
