Raj had come to stand in the middle of the hall. He wasted no time in speaking as he had already caught the attention of everyone present.

"I'll tell you why she did it.", he calmly repeated.

"Raj bhaiya!!", Aaliya shrieked from the back of the hall.

"No Aaliya. You cannot hide the truth anymore. I have done things which I am ashamed of because I believed you. Now, I know what actually happened, so I am going to set things right.", Raj replied her.

"Aaliya Mehra wants to destroy Abhishek Prem Mehra. She wants to take away his fame, wealth, career and everything he loves. In short, Aaliya Mehra wants to cripple Abhishek Prem Mehra, her own brother.", Raj said loud and clear.

A gasp went through the hall followed by a deadly silence. Abhishek's expression changed from anger to shock and he turned to look at Aaliya. She was staring at Raj like a venomous snake, but what was about to happen went beyond her control.

"Abhishek, what I am saying is true. You need to believe me.", Raj said walking over to Abhi.

"How is this possible? How can it be true?", Abhi asked and his voice slightly cracked towards the end.

"It is true. Aaliya, your sister, came to see me in jail. She told me of her plan to ruin everything you had. I knew she had a motive for coming to see me. She wanted me to help her in destroying you. She told me that I was in jail because of you and Pragya. I had believed that, because had you and Pragya not stopped the demolishing of KKB marriage hall, the police would not have investigated and I wouldn't have been thrown in jail. Above all that, you too believed that I took a bribery and refused to bail me out, prioritizing your career and fame.", Raj said.

"So when she came to see me about her plan, I agreed to help her.", Raj finished which brought a look of horror on everyone's faces.

"Our first move was to destroy your image. We had set up goons to enter your concert that day. On our orders, they started the riot and threw stones at you and your band. But our plan foiled because Pragya came and rescued you.", Raj admitted but continued the momentum of confessing to his crimes.

"Then, our next move was to attack your base. Your financial properties and bank balances. We had removed around three crores from your bank balance without anyone's knowledge. Our plan was to swindle you off your finances and everything you owned, and frame Purab for doing it.", Raj said looking at Purab who had gone beyond shock.

"But, soon that move too was foiled because Pragya entered and claimed everything you owned belonged to her. She had the legal papers to prove it which had yet again foiled our plans.", Raj confessed looking at me.

Abhishek went still at what Raj had just confessed. My heart was beating a mile per minute, not knowing how he was going to react, but I knew this was the end of the tunnel. Purab who had been in a calm composure, suddenly lost his cool. He grabbed Raj by the collar and shook him.

"How can you do this?!!! And why are you admitting to your crimes now?!!! Are you having something else on your mind to destroy my brother?!!!", Purab growled at Raj.

"No Purab. I am confessing now because I know the truth.", Raj replied him.

"What truth?!!", Aakash spit out like a fireball.

"The truth about the reason why I went to jail. It wasn't Abhishek's or Pragya's fault. It was my own wife, Mithhali.", Raj said.

Purab had released his hold on Raj. Everyone looked at Mithhali. She shook in fear and stammered. Beads of sweat were forming on her forehead and neck and her hands were trembling as she took her pallu to pat dry.

"How can you accuse me? I am your wife and mother of your children!", she stammered.

"Well, yes, you are my wife and mother of my children. But what I said is also true. You don't believe me, then I will show you the proof.", Raj replied her in a menacing tone.

He handed over a CD to Robin which was played for everyone to witness. The video recording of Neil Thakur's confessions filled the entire Mehra Mansion.

"What I am confessing now is the truth. I don't want to rot in jail for an entire lifetime, so I am agreeing to the deal. I was in love with Bulbul Aurora, and had approached her family for her hand in marriage. But I was humiliated and sent out. I, then targeted their KKB marriage hall which I knew was their essence and very existence. I got their lease contract cancelled with the help of Mithhali and her father. I was introduced to Mithhali and explained to her that if she could get her husband, Raj's signature on the papers for cancellation of the lease, she will get a whole floor under her name in the new building that was to be built in place. Her eyes lit up at the proposal I was offering her and immediately agreed to it. She got his signature. How she did it, I don't know. My plan was almost successful, but Rockstar Abhi had to come in my way with a damn stay order. My plans foiled. I got him arrested, but his wife Pragya ji threatened to bring in the media and his fans who were millions in number, should I or any police officer laid a finger on him. He was released following a video recording of my plan to give him the third degree treatment while in custody. I still wonder who took that video recording, collapsing my plans once again. The issue was blown out of proportion and an investigation was conducted which led Raj to be arrested. Mithhali had come to me for help, but I was already drowning in a mess. I refused and turned the tables on her. Her husband was in jail because of her, she was the one who took his signature without his knowledge.

I still didn't give up my plan for revenge. Then, I met Aaliya Mehra, Tanu and Mithhali after preventing them from carrying out their stupid acid bulb plan. After a brief talk, we came to a unanimous decision. I wanted Bulbul, Aaliya wanted Purab while Tanu and Mithhali wanted Pragya ji to suffer and leave Mehra Mansion. We planned to kidnap Bulbul on her engagement. I entered the Mehra Mansion disguised as a dancer to facilitate the plan. Aaliya and Tanu gave me the required access routes through the mansion. But, once again, due to a blundering mistake, Pragya ji was kidnapped instead. I took it as an opportunity to ask for Bulbul in exchange. Yet again! Rockstar Abhi stepped into the scene and collapsed my plans. Aaliya and Tanu were in constant touch with me. They knew that Abhi had come after Pragya. Aaliya Mehra had come to meet me at an old construction building while I had Rockstar Abhi and Pragya ji in my custody. She warned me to let her brother go, but to kill Pragya ji at any cost. I would have killed Aaliya there and then, but she revealed that she had people who would turn me in to the police as the kidnapper if she didn't return safe and sound. I had no choice but to abide to her rules. It was an IRRITATING cat and mouse game in the jungle with Rockstar Abhi and his wife, and in the process I was even shot in the arm.

Finally, on a cliff, I took aim to shoot Abhi, but Pragya ji being the devoted wife she is, stood in front of her husband ready to lay her life down for him. I warned them, but as I pulled the trigger, he had pushed her to the side, taking the bullet. They fell off the cliff. My men and I searched for them in the jungle, but we didn't realize they had taken refuge in a hut. It was too late when the police arrived and rescued them. I had to flee the scene.

But I was taken down by Bulbul. She voluntarily crashed her car into mine. I was caught, but I had a surprise visitor while in jail. Aaliya Mehra had come to me with another deal. She told me that while I would still be stuck in jail, Bulbul would marry Purab after her recovery from the accident. I couldn't see that. I wanted Bulbul. I told Aaliya to kill Purab, so that I got Bulbul, in return, I would do whatever she says. As an exchange, she told me to pin the kidnapping blame on Purvi. I did as she told, not realizing what a two time faced bitch Aaliya was. Purab was still alive.

So, this is the truth. The kidnap was planned by Aaliya Mehra, Tanu and Mithhali. The cancellation of the lease for KKB Marriage hall was facilitated by Mithhali and her husband Raj who was unaware of what was happening.", Neil confessed.

The video recording stopped playing. Daadi nearly collapsed and Daasi caught her, letting her sit on the sofa. Ma was crying while Bulbul wasn't as surprised. She knew that Aaliya must have had a hand in the kidnap, but had no way to prove it. Abhishek had just sat on the chair, unable to react, still digesting the facts. In fact, no one reacted, everyone was in a state of shock.

"Purvi!!", I called out and my sister walked in with her head held high.

She came and hugged me, letting out all her tears and pain. No one believed her, even I didn't. I had slapped her as well. It took me awhile to convince her to trust me again when I told her I wanted to help clear her name. But she gave in, after I showed her the video. I had got my sister back, I had got my old Purvi back. She was innocent and I managed to prove it. She stood next to me and held my hand firmly, a reassurance that she was going to be there no matter what happened next.

"You need more evidence than that Mithhali?", Raj asked her.

"Raj...listen..I was only doing it for our future..our children's future.", she stammered trying to justify what she did.

"Future? By throwing me in jail?!! Because of you, I spent months on end in jail! And I trusted Aaliya and helped her try to DESTROY Abhi!!", Raj yelled at his shaking wife.

"Why?", Abhishek spoke.

"Why Aaliya? Why so much of hatred and vengeance?", Abhishek asked while sitting down unable to believe what he just saw. There was no answer and the silence had blown Abhsihek's patience.

"I AM ASKING YOU WHY?!! ANSWER ME!!", he boomed snapping everyone out of a daze.

"Why?", Aaliya replied with a smirk.

"BECAUSE YOU TOOK AWAY MY HAPPINESS!! YOU TOOK AWAY MY PURAB FROM ME!! HE WAS MINE, BUT YOU SNATCHED HIM FROM ME!! YOU RUINED MY CHANCES OF HAVING A HAPPY LIFE WITH MY PURAB!!!", she yelled at the top of her lungs.

I knew all hell had broken loose that moment.
