Epi#268 21stApril'15 Major Editing Blooper - What Went Wrong?

Hi guys,

There's a lot of confusion with regards to tonight's episode as it has some MAJOR editing bloopers. The scenes were jumbled up and put in the wrong order. Ruining the whole storytelling of the episode.

So, just to clear everything here's what actually happened and what 'should' have happened.


Episode #268 21st April 2015 - Kumkum Bhagya.

What happened:

Abhi Pragya get into the same van. Tanu is creating a scene outside vanity van and is desperate to meet Abhi. Aaliyah & Purab trying to stop her from meeting Abhi and making excuses. Tanu banging vanity van door. Abhi storms out of the van with Pragya, telling her to be confident in delivering her lines for the promo shoot as she is 'rockstars' wife. Abhi doesn't pay much attention to Tanu and asks Purab about the shoot and leaves holding Pragya's arm and taking her away.

This is followed Abhi Pragya present in same vanity van and then Abhi stopping Pragya from leaving the van. Tanu banging the door and Abhi telling Pragya to go out from the other door while he distracts Tanu.

What should have happened:

Abhi Pragya get into the same vanity van. Abhi thinking he is in there with Purab. Pragya hearing all the good things he has to say about her. Pragya hiding in the bathroom to escape Abhi seeing her. Abhi realizes Purab is not present in the van and he is alone. Abhi decides to freshen up. He opens the bathroom door and sees Pragya. Abhi thinks he is hallucinating but it is actually Pragya. He pulls her out. Pragya starts crying before Abhi can say anything. Abhi sweetly tells her to not cry and promises not to scold her. Pragya about to leave the van. Abhi stops her as he is concerned what everyone will say seeing her walk out of a celebrities van not realizing she is his 'WIFE' 😆.

Tanu starts banging vanity van door. Aaliyah Purab trying to stop her. Abhi tells Pragya to go out from the other door while he distracts Tanu. Abhi opens his door and finds no one outside as Aaliya-Purab-Tanu are outside the door Pragya is about to step out through.

Eventually, all this should have been followed by the scene where Abhi storms out of the van with Pragya, telling her to be confident in delivering her lines for the promo shoot as she is 'rockstars' wife. Abhi doesn't pay much attention to Tanu and asks Purab about the shoot and leaves holding Pragya's arm and taking her away.



Hope this sorts out the confusion and how the storytelling should have been in tonight's episode. Just a little puzzle solving 😛

EK will fire the editor now. They messed up on national TV.

My editor instincts just couldn't stop me from making this post . It really was a job BADLY done for the NO.1 show over all General Entertainment Channels!


I agree Ash, they need to be sacked! Or at least warned to do justice to their job.


Tia: I doubt they watch it or it is even reviewed by anyone. If it was they wouldn't be doing such horrendous mistakes. They've often included rehearsal shots in the actual episodes. Which I think is very unfair on the actors and the directors efforts.

We watch all the BTS videos and the actors and the director they take shots from every possible angle to make everything available to the editors.

Editing is like puzzle solving. They have everything at their display. All the scenes shot from different angles. Panned or long range shots, EVERYTHING. They just have to put them together the right way. As the storytelling demands.

Time constraint shouldn't have been the reason behind this poor editing as these scenes were shot way ahead of time.

It's a Balaji Telefilms show. They have a standard to maintain. Especially, being one of the top shows on Indian TV.


And If Ekta will fire them...
