Mina - that's the Bong in you. In Bangla we don't have enough d,r sounds, as compared to Hindi. I grew up in Delhi and i still have trouble saying them with just the right inflexion. And like Tia said, "kachori" is the anglicized spelling, 'coz the English have even fewer d,r sounds than Bangla. (And Tia - they "cared" about ladkis - just not about saying the word).
