It's funny, I've also been thinking Stockholm syndrome for awhile now. But the sad part is the show's writers probably aren't INTENDING for that to be the case at all.

And yet, it fits this situation to a Tee.

How is the show supposed to come back from this? No matter what happens in the future, it won't change how badly manipulated she's been since the very first moment she was taken to that house.

Although, in today's special she kind of argued with him on the bridge a little bit. (You know, after that ~cute~ moment, where Abhi thought she might off herself and was ~concerned~ for half a second.) It felt OOC for Pragya, considering she almost threw herself off the bridge a couple minutes before. But, as soon as he took her back, she immediately regressed back into a weak state again...

I genuinely feel like Abhi is a monster and Pragya is too far gone to ever see her situation clearly. The show is really hard to watch now.

ETA: Adding to my thoughts, watching the show today, it felt like even the actor who plays Ahbi has had enough. Like he had given up trying to figure out how to deal with how nonsensical Ahbi is and just started phoning it in a bit. (This is just my opinion, of course.) Which is unfortunate, because half the reason I watch this show is because how much I love watching Shabbir put his all into every scene, whether it's comedy, drama or romance.

Abhi losing everything would be punishment for him. But why should Pragya be punished and suffer his ill fortune when Tannu gets away scot free? :(

I for one don't believe that he has a "plan" in the first place, because I completely agree with what Bulbul said to him today. He's a brainless character, and quite honestly, he's not a nice person. I cannot for the life of me understand what/why Pragya sees good in him, to the extent that she's in love with him! Just because he loves his sister and his grandma doesn't make him a good person. Whatever he has done so far has always been to his benefit in some way; it's easier for him to ignore the truth in front of his eyes because it's not according to what he wants.

Ducky Anne, plan or no plan, Abhi's behavior is unforgivable but Pragya unfortunately will not see it that way, we can wager a bet :( All will be forgiven in a jiffy as she will be so relieved that she is no longer maligned that she will forget to get mad at Abhi for his role in her misery, from start to finish.

I agree just because he loves his daadi and his sister does not make Abhi a good man. He dances to the beat of his own internal drummer who is not in sync with reality. I don't believe he has a plan either, I don't think he has the smarts to actually come up with anything this elaborate. And even if he did, his constant taunting of Pragya and (as you said) his almost leading her to her death only adds insult to injury and in no way excuses his actions.

Of course you may call me Janhvi :). SamRat in DAK is plainly evil to everyone around and maybe that is why no one sympathizes with him. In KKB, Abhi is not shown as being outright evil, he is just a selfish man who only cares for certain people like his daadi and sister but who hates his wife.

And you are right, the words of the Bard only hold out hope to us the viewers. Sadly, the character of Abhi has been made into a caricature by the CVs, no true depth of character and or sense apparent, he is just a run of the mill rockstar with a super huge ego.

I am enjoying watching the show and will continue watching it till the 2nd leap when abhi and pragya ' s children are grown ups. Thats what i normally do in other balaji soaps, show becomes bad after the 2nd leap. Eg Balh,pr. I love theactors specially shabbir.
And negative posts do not change my opinion. Dont make any difference to me.so till kb's 2nd leap I am definitely watching 😊.
P.s . Your post is nice , but I am not so intellectually inclined when i watch daily soaps. My brains work like Abhi. Itna feminism, self respect, some ... syndrome etc etc mere dimag ke upar se jata hai.
