NonSense & InSensibility Rant Part II

Hello Friends:

First off, I have pretty much stopped watching KKB. I really can't take the BS anymore. But I do read the written summaries just in case it turns around one day (idiotically optimistic of me, I'm sure). And I love, love, love some of the FF I read - EK should give her writers the boot and hire you guys! :) I mean it...you're awesome.

Someone wisely questioned why Purab handwrote a letter that anyone could find instead of using 21st century technology - what's app, SMS, email, FB, twitter blah blah blah. Really dude? There are like ten different communication portals you could have used. You're trying to explain why you've ditched your witchy wife to be to your hair-trigger tempered best friend (who once already has beaten you black and blue) who happens to be your witchy wife to be's dumbass brother...and you don't think once, that said dumbass brother's equally witchy girl-toy's presence in the same venue is a liability, hmmm?

Sarla has become a giant P.I.T.A. (pain in the A***). Seriously woman, get over yourself. I don't want her to die or anything of course (but I wouldn't mind seeing her with a long strip of masking tape on her mouth once in a while...a sedative would work just as well...or some of daadi's booze). Of course, BB and P have made everything much worse - P and BB's daadi is a sensible woman - why not tell her the truth? The only two likeable characters are the two daadis - forward thinking, pragmatic, compassionate and eminently wise. Just want to give a shout out to my fabulous mother who is, thankfully, nothing like Sarla.

The less said about the "romance" the better. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Abuse, under any circumstance, is not romantic.

Jane Austen has been turning in her grave, I'm afraid. 🤢

Again, just clarifying that this rant is purely against the crappy writing and NOT in any way about the actors, who are great. Too bad their talents are being wasted on this regressive drivel.

nah, miss austen surely stopped caring a long time ago whether anyone was "faithful" to her works. if anything she's having a party in the afterlife because it's been two centuries and people are more gaga than ever over her scribblings 😉

Aptly titled - Non-Sense and In-sensibility
Jane Austen will defo strangle Ekta and Party for this nonsense...Ekta better not say it is even loosely based on Sense and Sensibility...

Has the story moved even a bit forward -----should we invite a party of elephants to pull it forward Ekta????Nok-jhok ; Nok-Jhok and Nok-Jhok and every second article saying Abhi and Pragya coming closer - on what basis...for what????

I get depression seeing Purab...and Irritation seeing Sarla ma...and over the top hyper seeing Abhi's senseless misconceptions...and absolutely emotionless seeing the epitome of stupidity in Pragya and Bulbul...

Monkey tricks can also garner TRPs but you say it is a story based on a novel written by a gem of a writer...then please show some story...we are ok even if it is distantly related, loosely based or accidentally common with that great novel ...or for that matter even the cover of that book

Thanks for liking the title RoshiniManeet. :) Yeah, I don't have a problem with adaptations that are even very loosely based on the original (I'm not a stickler for purity) but for heaven's sake, at least preserve a modicum of integrity in your adaptation. Yikes.

I think this title (Nonsense and Insensibility) would work just as well for Pavitra Rishta too...I stopped watching that show ages ago but I had the TV on the other day waiting for another show to come on when I caught a few minutes of PR...is there some special water available in Mumbai that the rest of us don't know about? Savita ji is still around mind you, and she's now a GREAT-GREAT grandmother!?!?!?!? Those little kids are her grandkid's grandkids!!! So, what's your secret madam? I'm all for aging gracefully, but unless they're vampires or living in an alternate universe where the laws of mathematics don't work, or they all had kids when they were like twelve...whuuut?!?!?!

Omg, I could rant on and on and on and on about what a big bak was PR is. I stopped watching it some time ago, but once upon a time I loved it in the beginning. The only reason I know the story a bit now is because my grandma watches it. One thing that is sooo stupid is that Archana, Manav, their three parents, their 3-4 children, their grandchildren, their great grandchildren, plus all of Narens family is living in that one TWO bedroom chawl. Oh PR...

At one point I was praying that a legitimate Jane Austen fan club actually sue balaji productions - that is the only way mere dil ko thandak!
I don't even know where to begin and end on the crappiest show starring some of the best actors in town

I am liking the show. Not interested in watching sensible shows on GECs. I watch Discovery channelfor that not Hindi daily soaps.
I have read all of Jane Austen's works. I wud have found it boring watching the exact interpretation in a Daily soap without any masala. Audience bhi bore ho jayegi,An english show on a foreign channel wud be abetter idea to show it. We like watching desi stuff with a lot of melodrama on Tv.
