OS: Pregnant

Pragya felt horrible. Her cramps were killing her. She held her abdomen and walked towards the living room to find Daadi. To her surprise, she found Abhi along with some men sitting there. Feeling awkward she turned to leave only to be stopped by one of the guy.

"You're pregnant?" He said getting up. "Congratulations!" The man said shaking Abhi's hand. All the colour from Pragya and Abhi's face drained away. Abhi stared at the man and then at Pragya, then again at the man.

"What?" Daadi said coming from behind. "Pragya? You're pregnant?" Pragya shook her head in negative but that went unnoticed by Daadi. She pulled Pragya where Abhi was sitting and her made her sit down.

"What the hell?" Abhi whispered to her. "You're pregnant?"

"How am I supposed to know?" Pragya whispered back. "No, I am not pregnant."

"You sure?" Abhi looked at her.

"Yes. I am sure." Pragya looked at her. "How in the world will I get pregnant?"

"By..uh... Oh!" Abhi realized. "Then why were you holding your stomach."

"That is none of your business." Pragya looked at him embarrassed.

"You're pregnant." Abhi confirmed.

"Why are you so determined to prove that I am pregnant?" Pragya looked at him.

"No.. you're not... I.. err understand." Abhi replied.

"Shut up." Pragya replied embarrassed.

"What are you two talking about?" Daadi asked happily.

"Daadi." Abhi cleared his throat. "Pragya's.."

"I know. I know. She's pregnant." Daadi cut him off.

"Uh.." Pragya shook her head at Daadi. "I'm not."

"What?" Daadi looked at them almost shattered.

"She's not pregnant." Abhi replied. Seeing Daadi's fallen face, he quickly added. "Not yet." Pragya looked at him shocked. What the hell was Abhi saying? Abhi signaled her to be quiet and play along.

"Not yet?" Daadi looked at him.

"I will make you a par daadi." Abhi assured her. That seemed to bring the smile back on her face.

"Well you should hurry." Daadi joked. "I can't wait." Abhi choked on his own spit. Pragya turned

crimson red.

"Are you crazy?" Pragya looked at him. "Why did you say that?"

"I had no choice." Abhi told her.

"No choice?: Pragya looked at him."How are we going to have a kid."

"That's not hard." Abhi said. "But not with you." Pragya felt a nudge at that statement. She wanted kids, she always did but maybe kids were not in her destiny. Pragya quickly covered up her hurt expression before Abhi could see it. Unfortunately, Abhi had noticed it.

"Well.. now you find a solution." Pragya looked at him and turned to leave before the the tears she was suppressing would find their way out. Abhi caught her hand and pulled her towards him.

"You're about to cry." Abhi looked at her. "Why?"

"I was thinking about Ma." Pragya lied.

"You're a horrible liar." Abhi told her. Abhi looked at her. The same old Pragya. She was nothing like Aaliyah told him and the truth eventually came out. Daadi had explained the Bulbul part to him. Surprisingly all she wanted was to keep this marriage for her mother, when he tried to apologize and he had given that. She didn't want his love or anything but the status of a married woman. Tannu had still been in his life but today he caught a glimpse of her inner turmoil and today he felt gulitier than ever. Today he realized how much she had suffered and how hurt she had been with his statement. Today he found respect for her, for her strength to endure him and yet keep a straight face like if nothing happened.

By this time, Pragya couldn't control her tears. They had found their way out. She was about to wipe them when Abhi caught her hand. Pragya stared at him. Abhi wiped the tears, himself.

"Sorry." He said. "I shouldn't have said that. Actually I shouldn't have said a lot of things. I thought you didn't care, but today I realized how much my each word had hurt you. How much my each sentence had pierced their way to the heart. I know you show yourself not to care about what I say and I know you want to be strong but if you had shown me this turmoil before, I would have stopped. I would have tried to make things right. You never gave me the chance and I never thought you needed it. I'm sorry."

Pragya stared at Abhi as he opened up everything. She felt happy but the thought came to her. Abhi loved Tannu. He did not love her and maybe he will never. "It's okay." She came out of his grip but Abhi caught her by the waist this time. He had opened his heart and he could feel a burden coming off. His talk wasn't complete. There was still something he had to tell her.

"I'm not done." Abhi said as he held her. He was deadly close to her. Their faces inches apart. "I realized something a few days ago but I didn't believe it until now."

"W-what." Pragya trembled. Being this close to Abhi was heart warming and petrifying at the same time.

"I love you." Abhi said breathlessly. Pragya stared at him shocked. Abhi just said the he loved her. Pragya couldn't believe her ears.

"What?" Pragya asked in disbelief.

"I said I love you." Abhi smiled.

"Are you drunk?" Pragya asked.

"No. I love you very soberly." Abhi laughed.

"Huh?" Pragya replied confused. Abhi kissed her cheek.

"You love me?" Abhi asked. He caught Pragya off guard.

"I.. yes." Pragya replied in a small voice looking away. Abhi kissed her other cheek and laughed.

"You're unbelievable." Abhi smiled.

"Look who's talking." Pragya replied wrapping her arms around his neck.

"So.. about being pregnant." Abhi began. "That requires some work."

"Jerk." Pragya laughed as Abhi scooped her up.
