Kumkum Bhagya: Is Pragya playing a martyr or just plain stupid?
It seems the writers of this daily soap have lost the whole plot or the idea behind the plot - coz it makes no sense to us any more
For the uninitiated, Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) marries Pragya (Sriti Jha), who he believes is in love with Purab (Arjit Taneja). He takes Pragya out of the equation so that Purab can marry his sister, Alia instead. However, Purab is actually in love with Pragya's sister Bulbul (Mrunal Thakur), who sacrifices her love for her sister's marriage.
If you are confused, we don't blame you at all coz the story is indeed very frustrating. Apparently, Pragya is continuing the sham of her marriage so that her mother is at peace and doesn't take the stress of having three unmarried daughters. Abhi's agenda in marrying Pragya is to show his family that she is a gold digger and hence Purab must marry his sister. Once the wedding happens, Abhi will get rid of Pragya and marry his long-time girlfriend Tanu. Phew! How complicated are their lives.
According to the recent development, Purab runs away from his wedding to marry Bulbul; Abhi is now hunting Purab to kill him and Pragya is wailing wondering what will happen to her mother when she learns that her marriage is a fake one. Frankly, didn't Pragya always know that she would have to leave Abhi's house once Alia and Purab marry? Wonder what she would have told her mother then.
It feels like the makers are purposely trying to complicate a simple story and play with our head. Seriously, give us a break! The current plot makes it seem that Pragya and her sister are absolutely stupid and sacrificial for no reason.
Wonder how they will handle the situation when their mother has a heart attack in the upcoming episode.
