It was one late evening and everyone was sitting ready for dinner. Tanu wanted to become great in Daadis eyes so she had decided to cook for everyone by helping out in the kitchen. Daadi had asked Pragya to have some rest. Earlier on that day Abhi had twisted his ankle not that badly but for Daadi it was something to be worried about. He was also resting and waiting for food. Tanu was taking a long time.

In the kitchen-

Tanu had left a cloth near the oven and the cloth had caught fire but she hadn't noticed.

Everyone was hungry and moaning so Daadi decided to go and check if everything was okay. She arrived in the kitchen and saw that one of the wooden shelves had caught on fire and it was spreading rapidly. They both began screaming for help.

Everyone ran over to see how Daadi and Tanu were both stuck in the kitchen. Tanu saw that she could squeeze through the gap of the door even though there were flames surrounding it so she ran out and had left Daadi stuck inside. Abhi wanted to go and help rescue Daadi but even Aaliya held him back.

"No bhai, you have already hurt your ankle you can't go in and put yourself in danger" she said.

"But Daadi..." said Abhi.

Before Abhi could protest Pragya ran in to help her. She covered daadi with her dupatta and carefully pushed her through the door. Daadi was okay and everyone rushed to her but Pragya was still stuck inside.

A wooden log had fallen in front of the exit of the kitchen door. She was stuck. She began to cough and feel dizzy. Everyone just stood there helpless.

Abhi moved the wooden log from the door gap and Pragya rushed out and fell unconscious. Abhi picked her up even though Aaliya protested and took her to his room. Akaash phoned the doctor.

They were waiting for the doctor to arrive when Abhi thought about everything that had just happened. Tanu had left Daadi in the kitchen and had only thought about herself where as Pragya had put her own life in danger just to help Daadi. Abhi grabbed Tanu and pushed her out of the house.

"LEAVE" he shouted

"But what happened" asked Tanu

"I have no love for a woman that is so selfish for her own life that she left someone else in danger. Especially when that someone is my Daadi. How could you? You didn't even think twice? You were the one who I thought would be the right bahu for Daadi but I was so wrong. Did you see Pragya? She put herself in danger for my Daadi. get out!" he shouted.

"What? You're leaving me for that bhenji how..."

Abhi slapped her. "Leave" he shouted and with that he ran back to Pragya.

The doctor had arrived and said there was nothing to be afraid about. He had given some medicines and cream to put on Pragya's burnt wounds and had left. Abhi lay next to Pragya and looked at her. Even after he had treated her so badly she had saved his Daadis life.

"I can't believe i thought about you like this, I don't care what Aaliya or Tanu say, I know you cannot be a gold digger. If there is one then its Tanu not you," he whispered and with that he fell asleep with his arms wrapped around Pragya.
