no Aarti..i was not surprised. your not mentioning confirmed that you are not anticipating any Ashu Armaan face off in the upcoming chapter. and yes, it was to make Ashu realize and see his wife as a responsible doctor..
Well I had a reason and this chapter confirmed it. The description of the accident came out with the right impact, but I sort of knew that this would not be the situation that would cause fireworks between Ashu and Armaan. Of course, they were forced to spend time with each other and work together giving them an opportunity to sum up the other person.
I think the bigger reason was to give Ashu a better insight into Nidhi as a doctor. And to bring Rohan back as well in his official role as a police man. After the first night when Ashu is furious that she had slipped to work he specifically tells her that irrespective of how good she is as a doctor he wanted her at home when he woke up and went to bed... and now here he is witnessing first hand that his wife is saving lives. And inspite of the hectic situation she took a couple of minutes to examine his wound and suggest the proper treatment, even took his permission before leaving. He ought to have been impressed with her, maybe he has fallen a little more in love with her.

Rohan is definitely a mixed bundle. He surely has feelings for Nidhi, but is consciously suppressing it knowing very well that Nidhi has never noticed it. So I feel he will act as a binding force between her and Ashu. I am not sure if he knows about Nidhi's deep love for Ashu... will have to wait for revelation of Rohan's feelings. His training as a policeman will definitely help him in controlling his feelings. I also asked you long ago if his arrival will coincide with the re-opening of the Aditi case, so obviously that will happen soon...waiting to see how you are going to introduce that? Right now Ashu does not suspect Rohan of having feelings but I think he will understand that soon... lets see what he does then?

Ashu got a heads up about Nidhi's reactions and when he hears Nidhi announce with a tremble that she had lost two patients he understands. That entire scene was very effective in portraying how easily they both can get into their old friendship terms. Once Ashu decided to forgive Nidhi, it was simple for him to become the same caring, concerned Tiger from 10 years ago, the person who would stand by and support Nidhi when she needed it the most. Same thing happened when Ashu rushed to her, got food for her and forced her to eat, gave her strength to fight and was waiting for her as promised. At the same time there is a change in her, she is still wary about him, so her first reaction is remorse that she was not home on time,.definitely there is still some work for Ashu to do. It made Ashu feel like a heel and more determined than ever to erase those 3 weeks. And her thoughts at night reflect that conflict between her mind and heart, to believe him or not.
correct. she is still feeling like a see saw..as you said..her mind is still telling her to be cautious but her heart can't help but rejoice at the glimpse of her Tiger...
So HM, a short and sweet one it turned out to be, I loved it to the core. First her hesitation that she contacted the hospital, again unsure of Ashu's reaction. Then Ashu's praise of her skills as a doctor' another aspect that he is falling in love with - first he praised her hair, now this. Its as if he is noticing and is forced to accept the qualities of adult Nidhi and slowly his image of Chulbuli Nidhi is being replaced by this Nidhi...short hair to long hair, naughty girl to professional woman, reckless daredevil to responsible reserved adult, and he is liking the change. Since he did not witness the changes he is even able to accept it.
yes and now that he has accepted it, he wants to see if there is any chulbuli left in this adult version...
And then the first heart to heart.. they went back to the start, to 10 years ago. And Nidhi's honest admission touched him, her fear, vulnerability, yet honesty completely undid him, forced him to dissolve his anger and make peace. Nicely done. And to hear from the horse's mouth what he had started to suspect was gratifying and satisfying enough for him to bring down the curtains on that incident, at least between them. And his way of showing he has moved on... simply unique. What a thought!.. loved how you connected those bangles from the first night to now and loved Ashu's way of apologizing. But still for Nidhi the entire truth is not out, she is still fearful, vulnerable and lacking in confidence to confess her love. She will do that only when she will get his assurance and his declaration of love, isn't it?
yes. she needs some signal from him to actually come out and say the words...
And your masterstroke was the one line '. 'tumhara pati koi Ram toh nahin but I want to give this relationship a chance..'. The choice of words was perfect, a wealth of meaning in those few words' first 'tumhara pati' ' first time he has acknowledged her as his wife, giving her the status and respect she deserved between them' 'Ram toh nahin' ' over here is he trying to tell her not to hero worship him like before, and also tell her that he has had his share of affairs in these 10 years, he has not remained celibate but now he was only hers'. The final words saying he is putting all that behind him and starting afresh with her, and also asked her forgiveness. Her response, so sweet but of course she loved him unconditionally so its easy for her to let go'. And their sealing this new deal in the time honored fashion. And Ashu cleared his last lingering doubts about that first night when he asked her about her first time. Loved the little teacher-student session you cooked up'.

So the party, well could be an explosion waiting to happen'. Maybe Armaan is invited and Ashu boils over or is it Rohan who reveals something making Ashu jealous and making him realize that he has fallen in love with Nidhi or is it the re-opening of the Aditi case? Any one of these can happen, isn't it?
😆 yes Aarti..any one of the above could happen. i know you have probably come to some conclusion as to which one its going to be...so lets see if you have managed to nail it once again or not...😳
