chapter 4

Two days had passed after d death of col. Verma! In these two days nidhi's life had changed drasticaly! She had just sit beside her father's lifeless body when she reached there 2 days ago!
There was no pain, no tears in her eyes... Just a blankness! It seems like a sudden storm occured nd it wipped out all her hapiness along wid her tears!

Nw she was all alone in this world! Everyone tried their best to make her normal...atleast to make her cry..bt all their attempts ended in smoke!

There was one person who hadn't face nidhi in two days nd he's none other than ashu! Ashu was feling so much guilty to face her! She could hardly except this marrige when this unwanted event occured! He thought she wouldn't like to see him...he thought it would b better if he made a distance frm her!
Armaan insisted him more than once to go to her bt he refused everytime..

Ashu had to go in his room to take some papers! He inquared first if nidhi was there frm ridhima! She infromed that she
pushed her to take a bath,.. So ashu entered silently in d room...
bt he was schocked to see nidhi there satnding nd staring through d window! He could see her gloomy face...her face lost it's usual rosyness which was covered with some kind of lonliness or insecurity!
Ashu felt like runing frm there..he couldn't see her like that... If he could make a shell around her only to protect frm all darkness of d world-he sighed! He so much wanted to take her in his arm nd assure her that he wouldn't leave her fr any cost!! Bt he couldn't...

Ashu just started to step out frm d room when nidhi turned nd saw him nd her face lit up... As if she was waiting fr a glance of him... Ashu looked straight in her eyes nd hardly took a step towards her when nidhi came runing. She huged him tightly nd started to cry loudly !
At first ashu couldn't understand how to react on this sudden outburst! Bt then he also hugged her back and let her cry to wash away her pain through her tears!

...bus,nidhi! Ab shant ho jao!pls..main hoon na tumhare pass! Sab thik ho jayega!
He rubbed her shoulder gently to comfort her! When her cry subsided, she broke d hug nd looked into his eyes as if she would try to judge his words wheather it true or false!
Ashu took her towards d couch nd made her sit there though his one hand wrapped her frm behind! He rubbed her tears gently !
... Nidhi, tumne kuch khaya?
She nodded in a no so ashu continue...
... Maine bhi nahi khaya! To hum dono ak saath lunch kar lete hain! Main ridhi ko kehta hoon! Thik hain!?
Nidhi looked at him nd find only love nd tenderness in those eyes... As if those eyes were trying to say her that all is going to b well!
Ashu called ridhima nd told her to bring their lunch in d room. Ashu took a plate first nd teard up a roti...he fed nidhi with his hand nd nidhi didn't even protest..
When he finished with her then suddenly nidhi said-- 'ap nehi khaye?'
after 2 days, it was her first word! Ashu gave her an assuring smile nd took a bite of roti!
... Nidhi! Tum thik to ho na??
She looked at him as if trying to find suitable words to answer bt failed!
Ashu took her hands in his nd told-- ' nidhi! Sab thik hojayega! Main hoon tumhare pass, humesha! Tum mujhe apna dost samajh sakti ho nd u can share all abt ur thoughts wid me! I promise u that i'll b wid u in all ur decision!''
... Dr.ashutosh! Baba k siwa mere iss dunia mein koi nehi hain! Main..main kya karon?
Tears were flowing once again frm her eyes!
... Nidhi! Nidhi! Kaun kaha tumhara koi nehi hain? Hum sab hain na?! Aur raha hamare rishte ki sawal!? Nidhi to iss rishte k ware mein tum jo faisla logi wo mujhe manjor hoga!
Nidhi was surprised at first nd then suddenly told
... Dr. Ashutosh! Ap bahot acche hain!
Ashu gave her a small smile in return nd tried to stand up when nidhi called.-
... Ap pls mujhe kahin bahar lejayenge? Mujhe aha ghutan si horahi hain!
...ha,of course,nidhi! Tum ready hojao fir! Hum abhi chalte hain!

Sometime later both ashu nd nidhi came outside!Everyone felt relief seeing nidhi like that.. They all were very much tensed abt her. Nw it seems that she was geting over wid d incident.

Ashu informed them that he nd nidhi were going outside. Ridhima came beside nidhi nd held her to comfort her. Everyone wished them gd bye nd soon after that they left frm there!

...to,nidhi! Batao kaha jana cahogi? Mere pasand ki jagah ya apni?
Ashu asked her when they just sat inside d car! She was again lost in her world!
... Ap jaha le chale!
Though she replied.
...ok. Then! Mein tumhe apni favourite place lejata hoon!
Ashu started to drive bt noticed that nidhi was again absent minded. She stared outside nd absorbed in her own thoughts..her eyes lost it's shine! Ashu noticed her every movements during d ride bt nidhi even didn't realize that. She was out of her thought just when d car stoped with a jerk..!
,...hum agaye!
Ashu told her nd got down frm d car nd opened d door fr nidhi just like a gentleman!

He took her in a beautiful place where one side was a river nd other side was surronded wid small hills...it was quite deserted place...pple hardly came here nd this is d reason ashu liked it! There was a big tree name 'krishno chura'' which was all covered with red flower. In midday if some1 sit under d tree he would fell like sitting middle in d fire! The simple wave of d river water gave a strange peace of mind.
... U know,nidhi! When sometime i fell disturbed i came here.! This place was my mother's favourite! My mom often came here wid me!
... Bahot sunder hain! Apko apki maa ki baat yaad hain? Maine suna tha ap jab bahot chote the tab wo chal base??
...haan! Bt u know i feel her everywhere! Jinse ap pyaar karo unhe chor kar ap jyada dur nehi rehsakte! She loves me a lot..so she won't leave me! Par haan hum unhe dekh nehi sakte hamare aaspass par mehsos to kar sakte hain na?!
... To ap kehna cahte hain papa hamare ass-pass hi hain?
...yes,nidhi! Bus tumhe unki maujudgi mehsos karni hain!
Both of them suddenly felt silent...they were looking at d flowing river! They sat there silent quite a long time! Then suddenly nidhi said-
... Dr. Ashutosh, apne kaha ap mere dost hain! Hain na??
... Haan! Nidhi! Main tumhara dost hoon! Aur tum mujhe apni dill ki har baat bata sakti ho,bina jijak!
... Main apko thank u kehna cahti thi! Par ap ab mere dost hain to nehi kahungi!
Ashu was amused wid these simple word's of her. A small smile formed in his lips . He felt something very strange in his heart then! This girl had something very special in her which give much more comfort in life! Nd this comfort had heavenly effect on him!
... To mera dost kya soch rahi hain? Aj ahi par rukjane ki irada hain kya??
Ashu asked her in a teasing tone!
Nidhi smiled nd replied-- '' dost saath ho to ku nahi!!?''
