I know that shows do not operate on logic...but for the sake of poor fools like us, could you elaborate on whether fresh MBBS graduates can perform surgery..or is this going to be excused on the grounds that she was merely being her surgeon husband's hands...I mean working under his supervision...would really like to know what the real deal is...just for our own understanding!

Koyel we are all in a daze and 1000s of questions ghoomofying in our head !!!!! I think we all need to go to sleep today after watching this episode instead of trying to find answers and logics😃. 1. Nidhi walking into the conference room along with Ashutosh and Ranganath...

2. Nidhi, still an intern, being seated beside Ranganath while Priyanka, a full fledged doctor, was standing...hospitals, to the best of my knowledge are very high on protocol...

Both these happen only because she happens to be Dr Ashutosh's wife...and we are supposed to be glad that she has been turned into a woman of substance...by virtue of what...marrying a senior surgeon...if marrying a successful professional is the route to success and becoming a woman of substance, wonder why so many of us wasted our time qualifying ourselves and then working our butts off to prove our competence...what a joke...

I know soaps do not follow logic...I know we should not expect the same...but when tall claims are made only to be buried in dust, then cant help wondering...

I really love this show...and I can't bear to see it being turned into a crapfest like other shows...we may well be overreacting on the basis of a single episode...I so hope i am wrong...but today has really scared me out of my wits!

even though ashu has given a priceless gift ,would like to see him giftin somethin else as well...

@sujatha...from what i know to perform a surgery u need specialization in surgery plus MD plus experience and such complicated surgery ...absolutely a fresher cannot..even if ashu needs a hand he can ask other senior surgeons to help him and nidhi actually cannot scrub in a surgery also coz she is not a surgical intern..she is a medical intern...and they both are different...

am sorry all the doctors here if i got my facts wrong in anyway...

the naswer is 'NO', it is higly unethical,unprofessional and against 'the rule'. first of all, there should be team of dostors/surgeons working on surgeries, especially on such a delicate and higly risky operation. Secondly, if Ashu is not able to do the operation, other surgeon from the team with similar qualification and experience if not equal must take charge and do the operation under Ashu's guidance ( not necessary but since pt is demading for Ashu to be there). Nidhi is not qualified even to be in the operation room let alone doing the surgery or even assisting a surgeon. All nidhi can do at this point is, take care of stable pt. with minor issues.
