Sujatha RaoKPji...I consider myself truly blessed that I am not Ashutosh...dilemmas and conflicts are not new to me...nor is the inability to satisfy one and all...however, the ability to be sensitive to the pain of one to the exclusion of all others is fortunately something that I do not possess...aap ke Ashutosh ke yeh khoobi unko mubarak ho...Sir, I dont get your inconsistency...one day you say your characters are real, fllesh and blood and not caricatures like in other soaps and now you inform me that they are just characters in a story...I dont know which argument to take seriously...and while on humanity, nobody ever questioned his desire to help his friend...but what is so humane about unashamedly manipulating your wife's emotions and denying her emotional intimacy to punish her for daring to differ with you...and since when was wanting to safeguard your interests and emotional wellbeing selfish...Being caught in a dilemma is one thing but wilful dereliction of responsibility is altogether another thing...are you saying that Ashutosh is not just as responsible for Nidhi's wellbeing as he is for Mallika's...are you seriously saying that it is not possible for him to take rational, informed decisions...does a story have to be so contrived in order to create drama...but yes, you as their author have the right to impose your choices on your characters and they have no choice but to suffer the same...I dont question that...and my point was exactly that...he is going to have a huge price for his choices and maybe you might afford him another opportunity but, if this were real life, he may see his life slipping far away from him...it is not stupid to behave with sensitivity, Sir, but selective sensitivity such as what Ashutosh is displaying is certainly stupid...anyway that is my POV ...this is your show...and they are your characters to do with as you please...but unlike Nidhi, the choice to engage or not is still available to us...and thank the Lord for that! Pardon me if you think I have been out of line but thought I should share my take...lastly Sir, if we were not sensitive human beings, we would not be engaging so much with ficitional characters and attempting to argue with their creator for their well-being...we would be watching Rowdy Rathod instead!
