'I don't have to stoop to faking a relationship for a reality show'
TV actor Kritika Kamra doesn't want her image to be tarnished by false reports
Kritika Kamra is displeased with recent reports that suggest the actor wouldn't mind faking a relationship with her ex-boyfriend Karan Kundra to participate in the dance reality show Nach Baliye.
Nach Baliye enrols only those celebrities who are either married or dating. Kritika clarifies that she had changed her decision to participate in the reality show after her break-up with Karan Kundra.
"I am no longer in a relationship (with Karan Kundra), and I'm really perturbed with the reports that were obnoxiously written. The insinuation that I am hungry for fame and money was uncalled for. I am hurt and my image is being tarnished," she says.
Unwilling to go into details of her break-up with Karan, Kritika adds, "Yes I was offered the show but I turned it down as I was no longer in a relationship. I don't have to stoop to faking a relationship to be on a reality show, and I can say that for both of us."
Talking about claims that Kritika and Karan were recently spotted at many parties together, she says, "We work in the same industry and have common friends. People might have seen us at the same party or gathering but we were never 'together'. Aditi Gupta, Mukti and Shakti Mohan, Rizwan, Karan Wahi among others are some of our common friends. So we do end up being spotted together at a farewell party or a birthday party. Even when we bump into each other, we are cordial and we do chat! Just because you aren't dating doesn't mean you don't see the person's face anymore."
