TV stars, who are passionate about cricket, talk about the alleged spot-fixing and black money dealings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and why it is so upsetting.Seema Sinha reports...
VISHAL MALHOTRA
If absolute match-fixing is proved beyond an iota of doubt then one is bound to lose interest in the game.I would feel cheated,I would feel like a fool.It is like a movie that is scripted.I have not stopped watching the match for a simple reason that the teams that have made it to the top four have not had mud slung at them, they are not embroiled in these controversies.Strangely enough, when I was hosting the first IPL,I was also doing a film called Jannat which was about match-fixing.
KARAN WAHI
My heart doesnt want to believe in it,but when you see those clips giving proof of the spot-fixing racket, you feel sad.I personally know some of the cricketers, they kind of live their life on the field,so you dont want to believe in it.But I have not stopped watching the game. This controversy has been there since I was in my teens,if I didnt stop watching the sport then, why would I stop it now
