I liked Ashu's Kerala version though, he was very expressive and kind of romantic there, even during separation time I loved him in devdas mode too. AS son as CB accepted Ashni relationship...banda jaise badal hi gaya waise Madam Nidhi bhi uske baad thodi zyada bachchi ban gayi thi. wiase aaj-kal thik hai, dekhte hai kab tak raheti hai

He may be UNromantic in typical lines. .but he is surely NOT inconsiderate! He loves her and went to woo her back.. he loves her and was ready to stand against her family ... bas bechare ko EXPRESS karna nahi aata... but dun worry our NIDHI will teach her ANARI SAIYAN .. ROMANCE ki BHASHA 😉

yes off course expression ki kami hai par niddhi hai na she will definitely make him romantic

Agree with u Tanu...Ashu is not romantic in the sense that he cannot express his feelings...Remember the scenes where he said "ILU Dr Nidhi"...but when she was not around him...Or the scene where he held the rose she had left on his table close to his heart and said.."I miss u too"...All that shows that he loves her deeply but is simply unable to express it in words...The way he bowed down to her wishes when she asked him not to meet her again...or the way he did everything that custom demanded during the wedding...Or the way he was ready to wear the awfully gaudy sherwani also just cause she had selected it...All shows the depth of his love...And I am sure that Nidhi being a wise and relatively mature girl will either " teach her ANARI SAIYAN .. ROMANCE ki BHASHA"..... or if not she will at least understand his pyar ki bhasha...

If Ashu was inconsiderate - how come he has : Danced with her inspite of being a zero dancer - just forNidhi Agreed to go on a Ghodi - Just for Nidhi Agreed to go to the disco - Just for Nidhi Cancelled the viloin concert - Just for Nidhi Agreed to break up - Just for Nidhi
Dashed off to Kerala even before recovering fully - Just for Nidhi

Searched all over Delhi for AKC - Just for Nidhi

Travelled to Lucknow from Delhi by car at the risk of his life - Just for Nidhi

Agreed to wear the red sherwani - Just for Nidhi

There are many other instances...

Agree with Tanuji , she has defined the character of Ashutosh very well.
Ashu is definately not unromantic he just don't don't know how to express himself. He shows his love by his gestures only.

My romantic nature wants 2 agree with you but ashu's character is such that he is an introvert. For all his life he knows only one thing and that is doing his duty as a doctor. Now that the equation has changed he still is in autopilot mode and rushed 2 the hospital as he was trained. Dheere dheere he is going to realise his galthiya and understand his role as a pathi in nidhi's life. I liked the way nidhi understood him and isnt angry at him over this.

I think Dr.Nidhi is not 18 years old she might be 25-26 as she has done her MBBS(5 years) and Dr. Ashutosh is only 40 years old not 42

Ashu who didn't know the difference between friendship and love-that was unromantiv.Ashu who was adamant not to change bcas og older obsession-that was unromantic.But I can't say this Ashu is unromantic-he was bound 2 go in Hospital becas it was mattter of someone's life.And he took the formal permission from Nidhi too.He is shy,don't know everything how 2 express love but still sensible and ready 2 learn.This time he was not wrong and he perhaps wd feel a guilt on his own for leaving in the SR night,SarojBala's word just was a catalyst here.
