Friends I have been a die-hard Ashni fan since the first time i saw them together in KTLK...When Nidhi knocked Ashu's car and blasted him...Since then I have stuck by KTLK and Ashni thru all its ups and downs...Not that I have not criticised the show and/or its execution...I readily accept that many a times I have criticised it also...But since BB's return the show had somehow begun to come back on track...and after last week's episodes no flaw can be found in it...
Much has already been said about last week's episodes and many posts have been made on them...all of course in praise of the show...So u will all be wondering what I am trying to say by the effect of the show?????
Well I have already commented on almost all posts that the sangeet episode was superb...As Tanu said in one of her posts superb, 'awesome, amazing, killer'...all these adjectives are insufficient to describe the episodes and more particularly Ashni's dance...Sio what other effect could the dance and certain Ashni scenes have had on me...Well here goes...
Before I express my feelings I would like to say that I have no intentions of bashing anyone or stepping on any toes and hurting anybody's feelings...
As i was watching Ashni dance and even before that when Anji at the tail end of her performance took Nidhi's hand and placed it in Ashu's and the way Ashu held on to it tight...I immediately imagined how the scene would have been if Ashu 1 (MB) had still been playing th erole of Ashu...This thought struck me because till Friday somewhere at the back of my mind MB still existed as Ashu...Although I have accepted SK as Ashu more or less whole-heartedly but somehow I have not been able to free myself completely from MB's magic...Then as I thought of this I could see certain things very clearly...
1) Hand holding would have been done by body doubles...The expressions on their faces would have been shot in separate frames and we would have only got close-ups...
2) Ashu going down on one knee and asking Nidhi to dance...Again separate frame...and Ashu on one knee...a bit difficult to imagine though not impossible to be done...
3) Last but definitely NOT the least Ashni dancing together...Simply impossible given his NT policy...Even if he had been forced, cajoled, coerced, browbeaten, intimidated...Given extra remuneration...etc etc into doing it...would he have done justice to the sequence like SK-KK did?????? Don't think so...It was clear for all to see that in any romantic scene he had to do with the female lead his face used to become expressionless and he became most uncomfortable portraying those scenes...this discomfort used to be apparent on his face and in his actions...(Refer to the Dargha scene or the chai ki dukan scene after Ashu's return)...After running this whole thing in my mind's eye after the episode was over, I was actually thankful that he had left the show...And SK has now become firmly embedded in my mind and heart as Dr Ashutosh...I would like to thank him and the CVs for at last freeing me completely from the memories of Ashu 1 (whatever few were left of them)...
Now that I have got these thoughts and him out of my system I am only going to suit back, rewatch the Sangeet episode whenever I have some free time...And thinking about the precap dream of the next week's episodes...Just hope that post marriage the track does not turn our dreams into a nightmare...😉...
Sorry guys if I have hurt any feelings..that was definitely not my intention...I realise that there are still many Ashu 1 fans on the forum...This was simply an expression of my feelings and my POV...
