KTLK: Your only source for unlimited Paradoxes!!!

Heyyy Folks... How're you all doin'?

Well, was just thinking about the various tracks in KTLK... Seems I do it all the time ...😉
And couldn't help wondering at the PARADOXES... that are so apparent... either in the characters or in the tracks...

So much that its more confusing than a really convoluted jalebi! 😕
Here are some I thought of..

1. Ashu: everyone's favorite character to bash! But seriously this guy has been a mass of contradictions...

He CAN be overly aware of his advanced age as seen by the fact that he keeps saying "ye karne ki meri umar nahi hai" etc etc to Nidhi 😡

But

He CANNOT digest the same fact when it's brought to his notice by Nidhi in the form of him needing glasses, his greying hair etc!!! 😕

2. Nidhi:

She CAN walk in and out of KGH a hundred times for seemingly crucial issues like checking if Ashu is wearing his glasses and being friendly with everyone while doing so..showing that her comfort level at KGH is quite good 😛

But

She CANNOT accept Ashu's suggestion that she comes back to KGH for the most plausible reason...to WORK!! 🤓

3. Rohan:

This guy CAN be Encyclopedia Romantica... offering the most logical, sane, inspired and sensible advice to Nidhi when it comes to her relationship with Ashu, even though he's never had any experience in love before 👍🏼

but

he CANNOT solve his own problems vis-a-vis DB arranging a match for him that he doesn't want.. without involving Nidhi and asking her to say that they have a relationship with each other.. knowing fully well Nidhi loves Ashu and is already in deep waters with getting her family to accept him!! 🤔

4. Ashu..again!

He CAN talk to Nidhi about Valentine's day and get to know about her liking for heart shaped things and her interest in celebrating it..and even talk to Armaan about doing something for her on the day.. 😳

But

He CANNOT understand what she wants when she rings him first thing in the morning... And does not even wish her!! 🤪

5. The KTLK track

People CAN talk when Ashu-Nidhi are seen together because Lucknow Chota shahar hai (in Shyama's words) 😲

But

They CANNOT say anything when a young unmarried guy (Ranga) is sharing a flat with an equally unmarried bombshell (Sonia) in the very chota shahar...

(am curious to see how Shyama will react when she comes to know her would-be SIL is such a player!😆😉)

And am sure there are tons more...please feel free to add your own!!!

Even Baba who is a level headed guy has not bothered to find out how his business collapsed and who was behind the switch of material.

Even earlier we used to hardly see him go to office and Manshukhani took full advantage of it and despite this we don't see Baba least bit suspicious of him.

Mr. Solanki too seems to have developed amnesia ( very common ailment in KTLK ) abt the civil case he was supposed to have filed.

Anji seems to have forgotten that she has her studies to complete, yet she is the one with 2 jobs in the serial.😆

The only person who behaves true to her character is DB...she is at her screechiest best !!!

And Mallu and Sue...gotta hand it to them for their single-minded consistency and pursuit of their baara saal jaap and Mardology respectively!! 😆

Very good post... These Paradoxes only makes us confuse to the core. Of all, Ashu is the best case. Like MB mentioned some time back, he is very much unpredictable...

I am happy with my safad bal... Ashu told and shouted like a crazy goose and from next day he is not having the gray hair...means he colored.

Rohan - They created this character thinking some things and the TRPs did not help them so this guy is hanging in air without a focal point... Only reason this character is sustaining is for Nihan track...

Previously Nidhi was telling to Rohan... you are great , you understand me better etc in each and every scene. Now she stopped suddenly...

I guess I am confused like every one and typing some illogical sentences. I will stop here...

AF..I also do not get how Ranga is allowed to be so forward..I mean even in supposedly urban cities...a man and a woman sharing a flat can be looked upon askance..and here no one bats an eyelid 😲 .whereas the whole age-gap thing is blown out of proportion ..wherein Ashu is staying well within his limits (5 feet more than we want actually 😆)

I really would like to know Ranga's motivations or majboori for sharing with Sonia..Is it that difficult to find bachelor accommodation in Lucknow? Or does KGH pay him so poorly that he's forced to room with a woman and also do all her chores?? Maybe he's her unofficial kaam-wala??? And gets paid for that too?? 😉

Ashu is the most bewildering on this age issue😕.. He's too sensitive about it...
He's too reluctant to do things that do not "BEFIT" his age
and also does not like to be reminded of it! 😕..

I was surprised on that day when sonia was revealed as his flat mate. I never expected in Lucknow kind o city it can happen... In the country I live in europe also normally only GF/BF share flat. They stay alone otherwise but not with some friends...

Yeah.. I too have seen this trend when I was in Canada... There maybe a group of people rooming together.. a mix of boys n girls and if its just a boy and girl...then they're usually serious about each other..like a live-in relationship!
I'm with Anji on this...how can she be expected to believe it when Ranga says there's nothing between them??
And why o why is he washing her clothes??? 😕..
At least they could have made her a distant cousin or a relative..who's looking for work or something and is staying with him temporarily cos she has no one else in the city!!

and lizzie superb post..i soo agree especially abt ashutosh ...the guy has loads of issues emotional and social i suppose...he is awkward in public and it is funny coz he is a reputed surgeon educated in london...mallika and her narrow mindedness...suhasini is a masters in psychology but her thoughts are worst than ancient...

nidhi and rohan are supposedly the examples of the confused younger generation...

Exactly... I thought they chose Lucknow as a backdrop cos of its conservative outlook and ppl being reluctant to accept an age-gap relationship and thereby giving rise to the title and the basic premise of the show..but here with Ranga-Sonia they are blissfully ignoring the very same thing! Confusing to the core!!
