I am not saying all these events which have narrated above cant be a reality - losing someone you love be it a sweetheart or anyone close is gonna hurt as hell and ppl react differently to these things but Duh lets get real you do not need to be loud or scream your head off always for every time you have a crisis or are in the middle of what can be a circus affair - nor is everyone the same - Sadly Indian TV show makers DO NOT feel so so you get a silly bumbling buffoon of a lead gal who bawls and is pretty much an airhead but a pretty face - a guy who cannot act to save his life but can TRY to act like he is some meanie while you wonder does a muscle ever twitch on his face 😕 and that pretty much ruins the part of INTELLIGENCE being mandatory for these leads or shows honestly
That somehow kills it for me the shows where women arent given their due as being capable and rational enough to think or men are simply props ATM from the past one week is where I have actually found relief - KTLK is simply being a breath of fresh air for me
Last night as Nidhi cries at that kid' bedside I loved how Kritika was underplaying the part of a bubbly girl in grief - or the fact that Ashutosh was shown as a man understanding enough to be gentle on her in the conversation post the fiasco in the morning.
Compared to crap situations being exaggerated to levels beyond even OTT - the subtle meltdown Nidhi has - or Ashutosh' being all fired up wasn't a crisis that could be in anyway taken lightly for this could be something awfully close to reality. Medical negligence is definitely something that can be anyone' worst nightmare come true which may even cost lives as is shown here
Keeping in check with the gravity of the situation I so loved how the CV' dint kill it by overdoing Ashutosh' angry man bit to the hilt or Nidhi having a weep fest. Nope Nidhi' guilt trip - her remorse as to how her one minor mistake could lead to such fatality was beautifully emoted by Kritika right from her talking to an unconscious Shahenshah to make it back, her pleading to him to the simple raw nuances of her tying up her hair and removing those earrings to shed the party gal image which cannot mirror how she feels at the moment emotionally and mentally. Those little things somehow made her seem vulnerable, frustrated and real... fragile even for the burden to bear in front of her was that of a life almost lost - which isnt in any day a minor thing to deal with for a doctor or otherwise anyone necessarily.
Mohnish playing Ashutosh simply lights up the screen - this man simply knows how to take over the screen even when all he does is give someone a silent look which could convey anything literally. He is being portrayed as flawlessly by Mohnish as is the way his character being shown reacting to things as is necessary, Ashutosh is shaping up definitely for the kind of character that has an edge to it simply cos of his subtlety. He isn't the average hero who riles up for things out of the blue needlessly but is a man who is shown being able to detect how to be passive when needed as he asks Nidhi if she is mad at him to off course pointing out her flaws bluntly when she showed a lack of sincerity towards her patient and profession.
After simply one week of this show its growing on me completely - And its simply a delight to watch Rajan make a show like this so unlike his previous shows where the gal isn't a dutiful and perfect Bahu who can do no wrong who is the lone crusader for a never ending family - but she is simply a gal next door who is in parts smart, childlike and can make mistakes for which she repents wholeheartedly
