Hey guys, this was an unplanned OS...

Just heard this song a few days ago, and was pinning to write an os...

Please forgive me guys, this is a real quickie, so it won't be that detailed, of course! Happy new year 2018 fellas!

Pyar ke liye chaar pal kam nahi they,

Kabhi tum nahi they, kabhi hum nahi they...

Pyar ke haseen kab ye mausam nahi they,

Kabhi tum nahi they, kabhi hum nahi they...

Sonakshi was stepping into the threshold of Ishwari Niwas, yet again, after 8 years with the authority of the daughter in law of the house... 8 years ago, in her unknown pregnant state, she had left this house with her world falling crashing down with the turn of events.

Over the period of these 8 years Sonakshi kept wondering how the scenarios just kept on changing in a span of a week... Her medical condition of inhospitable uterus coming out, the drama that ensued, followed by the forceful trip to Shimla, and unwanted scenarios leading one upon the other resulting into a heated love-making that had quickly turned into a total surrender from both the ends... She had always known Dev for an angry tempered man, but, he had been always very gentle with her ever since he had confessed of his love of that being that of a man to his woman. That night in Shimla did she come to witness the fires in his love physically, nothing like she hadn't witnessed always in his eyes. Nevertheless, that night was one to remember for her lifetime. The morning that followed was one drenched in love. What with them sleeping in wee hours and her waking up early, and packing their stuffs, and Dev's never ending romance and flirt. It had to be a huge sort of a deal for Sonakshi to coerce him to get out of the bed, and get ready for their return. He seemed in satiable. She knew, he wouldn't stop just in Shimla, Delhi will be another destination of his romantic ordeal. They had so many promises and deals between them...

They never knew that none of his desires and promises was to be fulfilled. Deals be left, even the vows of their marriage would be shaken. Bijoy Baba was all await to meet them, when Mamiji started all the hullabaloo... One thing into the other and both the sides raising their voices notches higher resulted into an unintended slap from the back of Dev's hand on her father's cheek... Stunning and stinging- his cheek and their hearts. Anything but these mannerisms were not expected out of Dev. Not that he was a man of that grade, nor his mother ever instilled such values in him. But what shocked her more was no response coming from his mother. The Ishwari Dixit she knew, would have scolded and slapped her son for being such a jerk. But she said nothing. Such a disappointment!

Dev though recovered seeing his wife moving away. He realised his mistake the moment itself, he needed no Moral lessons from his mother. But alas! It was too late to undo what was done... Bijoy never forgave him for his misbehaviour, and she grinded between being a daughter and wife, chose to be by the aggrieved' side. The wife kept on thinking the best solution to be a good daughter, and the only way she knew was to mortgage the house her parents sweat and blood had cemented with, to pay off, not to her husband, but to the son of those low minded people, who had their breaths entangled in the huge amount of those 5 crore rupees.

What she had thought, what turned out to be was already a history, when she had last walked out this low minded mansion, carrying the lineage of her husband, unknown to even herself. Today she again walked into the the same mansion, with mentalities, priorities, choices and behaviours all changed, rectified, apologised and forgiven for. With a deep sense of nostalgia, as Sonakshi kicked the rice pot and walked into the kumkum coloured water, making her marks behind, symbolising to be the Lakshmi of the house, Sonakshi walked with a different sense of confidence, rights, and respect.

Ye din barson ke baad aaya,

Kuch tumhe kuch humein yaad aaya,

Kasak phir ye dil mein uthi hai,

Hothon pe baat ye aake ruki hai,

Kabhi itne majboor toh hum nahi they,

Pyar ke liye chaar pal kam nahi they,

Pyar ke haseen kab ye mausam nahi they,

Kabhi tum nahi they, kabhi hum nahi they...

Sonakshi re-entered their room, hers and Dev's. Dev had point blankly refused to let her use Soha's room or guest room or any other room for that matter that theirs. She was his wife, and it was legally, religiously, morally, and every other way was right for her to be in their room together. They of course didn't have to take pheras and other rasms, according to the hindu marriage culture, since in their past years, Sonakshi had just signed for the prenuptial agreement. Dev never sent her any divorce papers, nor she sent him any such summons since, her health took another turn by the time they had reached Kolkata, and then she didn't feel it right to send him any divorce, since his child was growing in her womb, and anyhow legally they wouldn't get divorced in such a state. After the child's birth, when she received no warm responses from the Dixit's end, she just left them to be an old chapter, since she had a lot more to look forward to, then fighting battles in court for divorce and child custody.

All of this Sonakshi wanted to tell him, but before she could utter anything, they were escorted into their room, fully decorated, like how it was the night of their marriage, giving them a full blown cue to begin their lives on a very new note... Sonakshi rubbed her arms, she was feeling a certain chill... Goosebumps to be precise, all the feelings both positive and negative hitting her head in a fierce battle, a painful past and a beautiful present, both unsettling her. She took a sigh of relief to find the doors closed, and they given a well needed privacy. Dev's arms came around her arms in a very caring gesture, and suddenly she stopped feeling the shiver. He still held that calming effect on her? She wondered. Instead of all the gooey stuff that would have happened had they been married 8 years ago; came a very mature response from him. Ushering her to the window edge, both sat on two cushions, her nervousness obviously palpable, since she couldn't utter anything, with her mind clouded by memories and observations.

Dev: Awkward, isn't it? All these first night decorations?

He had been the first one to break the silence. She nodded vehemently. He instead pulled her close, and her head automatically rested upon his chest; a habit she found to be so instinctive ever since their marriage 8 years ago...

Dev: Sonakshi, we don't have to pretend like those newlyweds. There's nothing that you don't know about me, and I don't know about you...

Sonakshi(smiling): Physically, yes! Emotionally, No.

Dev: As in?

Sonakshi: As in what were you all these years, what happened, what you did, etc.

Dev: Main toh bas aise hi tha, jaisa tumhe dikh raha hoon... Aadhe se zyada baatein mere baare mein tumhe Elena, Golu, Maa bata hi chuke hain, Hippie, Self Centred, Careless, Manmauji... You know all that...

Sonakshi: Dev, jitna main tumhe jaanti hoon, tum sabse jhoot bolte aa rahe ho... Jo tum pichle 8 saal se pretend karte aa rahe ho, wo sach nahi hai. Tum aise ho hi nahi... Tumhare liye tumhari family se zyada kuch bhi nahi raha hai. Tum unke liye careless nahi ho sakte they kabhi bhi...

Dev: Meri family mere saath thi kab? Meri biwi, meri beti... Kahan they wo sab? Rahi baat inn logo ki, toh families waisa nahi karti jo inn logo ne mere saath kiya... Uske baad se ye sab mere rishtedaar ho gaye. Aur rishtedaaro ki zarooratein poori ki jaa sakti hain, unki care karne ka mann nahi hota tha...

Sonakshi: Isliye, tumne girlfriends ki line laga rakhi thi?

Sonakshi knew, she needed to get him out of that moroseness, nothing like he doesn't understand now, just that he wants someone to hear him once, which she did.

Dev: Yahi toh tumhari baat mujhe sabse zyada irritate karti hai Sonakshi, tum mujhe samajhke bhi samajhti nahi ho... Tumhare siva main kisi ko wo jagah nahi de sakta...

Agar tum ye dil maang lete,

Jaanemann hum tumhe jaan dete,

Tumhe kaise hum bhool jaate,

Marr ke bhi tum humein yaad aate,

Tumhe hai pata bewafa hum nahi they...

Pyar ke haseen kab ye mausam nahi they,

Kabhi tum nahi they, kabhi hum nahi they...

Sonakshi still had her eyebrows cocked in incredulity at his clarification about Girlfriends.

Dev: Waakayi mein Sonakshi, that was all a sort of punishment I used to induce over myself, trying to beat myself for not forgetting you for even a moment, for belying myself that marrying you was a mistake... Sab jhoot tha... Because you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Our marriage could never be a mistake... Our proof of love, Soha, cannot be a mistake ever... It was all the punishment I gave to myself, and I am sorry...

Sonakshi: Bas karo dev, you never need to clarify, I know you, I trust you every way of our journey, but, I must admit, I really was pricking to see Shruti enter your hotel room. You could as long as you wish, be alone, drink and sleep... But nobody should be around you, no female, but me...

Dev gave a throaty laugh as he said: Tell me about it... I have felt that multiple times, I have lost count now... Those Roys who intended to take you to Mumbai, That, Neil Lahotiya, then that Do tarah ke log wala Sen guy who was about to get betrothed to you, then Jatin... uff oh! Pareshaan aa gaya tha tumhare deewano ko bhagaate bhagaate...

Sonakshi: Okay, then let's mark each other with a symbol of being each others...

Dev: Don't tell me hum phir se pen se ek Dusre ka naam apne haathon aur gale-peeth par likhenege...

Sonakshi: Not a bad idea Mr. Dixit... But no, I had a better idea...

She pulled out a set of band ring with Sonakshi-Dev embossed into the platinum loop.

Sonakshi: Here we go Mr. Dixit... One for you, and one for me...

They exchanged wedding bands, thus both having a warning sign on them that they are committed for life. Dev kept looking at the ring, and then said-

Dev: Main bhi kuch laaya tha, par tumhare gift ke aagey, both conservative lagega...

Sona: Arre dikhaao na, ye kya baat hui... Tum kitna suspense create kar rahe ho...

He pulled out a brand new double stringed mangalsutra, and a box of sindoor from his pant pocket, showing her... Sonakshi kept blinking her eyes, relatively speechless, with a heavy attempt to speak, she did

Sona: Dev, ye conservative kabhi bhi nahi ho sakta... Traditional zaroor hai, par kabhi purana nahi ho sakta... Tumhara mera rishta inhi do nishaaniyon se toh maine humesha yaad rakha hai... Tumse alag hone ke baad maine kabhi ye dono cheezein nahi pehni... Isliye nahi ke hum alag ho gaye they, par kyuki, maine khud inko todke, disrespect ki thi, and I am very sorry about it...

She kept on waiting for him to re-instill them on her, until she signalled him for the same... He took no more moments to wait, as he filled a hefty pinch of sindoor in her hair parting, this time again speckles of them falling over her nose and tied the mangalsutra around her neck... She ran before the mirror to see her look back to what she looked like 8 years ago... A bliss to her eyes... He tried rubbing the speckles of sindoor from her nose, she just kept her eyes closed...

Sona: Dev, koi bhi ho, chaahe Jatin bhi kyu na ho, kisi ko kabhi bhi maine tumhari jagah nahi di... Mere liye iss rishte ka matlab sirf tum they, Tumhare siva main kisi se dubara iss tarah mohabbat nahi kar sakti thi... You know that right?

He had his head against hers, as he back hugged her, closing his own eyes...

Dev: I know... And it's the same with me... I hope you know that well...

Sona: Indeed!

Very Very sorry for the late comment Di
It was such a beautiful piece of writing
The first two paragraphs felt like I was watching the flashback
And that dialogue by Sona where she says Physically yes, emotionally No was really deep and then both of them opening up and Sharing those 7 years of their lives was lovely
And Sonakshi's way of marking each other was awesome and Dev's gift was so aww loved that scene to the core
They are made for each other only
Keep coming up with such surprises and I love your down to earth nature always remain like this
Love you
