Chapter Thirty

Dev & Sona were coiled up in each other's embrace when Dev's phone buzzed, snapping them out of their Loveland...hello...kaun?...Dev murmured into the phone...exhaustion clearly displayed in his voice...Sir main Vishal...aapne kahan tha woh uss stalker ki information nikaalne keliye......Dev quickly straightened up listening to this useful piece of information from the other side...as Sona snuggled more into him, rubbing her nose on his bare torso...adjusting himself back in her embrace, he clasped her ear with his palm, so as to avoid any disturbance in her sweet slumber...haan bolo...kuch pata chala?...kaun hai woh banda jo meri wife ko stalk kar raha hai?...Dev whispered into the phone, careful enough not to wake Sona up...Sir aap use acche se jaante hai...infact woh aapke aas paas hi rehta hai......Dev was getting all the more restless with each comment arising from his private detective...gol gol ghumake baatein mat karo...seedhe seedhe batao kaun hai woh......Dev scolded him for his tricky response...Sir, I know ki aap shayad mujhpar bharosa nahin karenge...par uss insaan ka naam hai......Dev's eyes widened as the detective revealed the name of the stalker...he put his phone down and looked onto Sona longingly...he caressed her hair lovingly as she lay asleep in his arms, unaware of the storm that had crept into their life...he pledged to not let anybody harm her...

"Dad...aapse kuch baat karni hai...aap free ho?...Dev walked down the stairs to take his seat next to Jay, who had just returned back from his elongated date with his wife...bhai hum to humesha free rehte hain...busy toh aajkal aap rehte hai...lagta hai inn dino aapka workload double ho gaya hai nahin......Dev bit his cheeks to control the blush from creeping on his face...Dad, main yahaan aapse jaroori baat karne aaya hoon...aur aap ho ki meri taang kheechne mein lage hue ho...atleast sun to lo mujhe kya kehna hai......Dev complained like a lil kiddo, while Jay enjoyed his flushed state...oh jaroori baat karni hai...tab toh jaroor Sona ke baare mein hogi...batao batao jaldi se batao......he earned an angry glare from Dev, as he chuckled at Dev's state...Dad, woh main soch raha tha ki meri aur Sona ki shaadi jin haalataon mein hui thi...hum kisi ko invite bhi nahin kar sake...toh ab jab sab theek ho gaya hai...toh kyuna hum ek reception throw kare...saare rishtedaar aayenge aur sab Sona se bhi mil lenge...Papa aur Mumma ko bhi accha lagega...aapko kya lagta hai......Dev waited impatiently for Jay's reply, as Jay finally flaunted a thumbs up after initial pretence of thinking hard...phir main saari tayyarian dekh leti hoon...tu bilkul chinta na kar Dev...sab ho jayega......Ishwari jumped into the conversation, as Dev looked onto her gloomily...she realized she had interrupted at the wrong time...she was about to turn back and leave when she halted on hearing Dev call her back...Maa...agar koi help chahiye ho to bata dena...main office se logon ko bhej dunga teri help keliye......Ishwari turned and looked at him with teary eyes as he flashed his million dollar smile much to her and Jay's satisfaction...her son was finally accepting her back...great progress...Sona was really lucky for their abode...

Dev got back to his room, where Sona was sleeping soundly...unaware of all the happenings around her...Dev settled down besides her while caressing her hair, tucking her loose strands behind her ear...she stirred in her sleep as she felt a known touch on her skin, her senses identifying the owner of it...ummm...Elina kya kar rahi hai...sone de na......she purposely feigned ignorance as Dev tried his luck once again...bending down he placed a wet kiss on her cheek to make her realize that it was her husband who was showering his love on her instead of her stupid cousin, as he addresses her...Eli...tujhe na maar padegi ab...kya kar rahi hai...kitni baar kahan hai tujhe, teri yeh gaal pe kiss karke mujhe neend se jagaane ki aadat mujhe bilkul pasand nahin hai...it's so weird......Sona acted further as Dev had a startled expression on his face...Elina tumhe gaal pe kiss karke neend se jagati hai???????...he wondered aloud as Sona could no longer control her giggles...Dev looked onto her confused as she kept laughing her heart out, holding her stomach...he did understand her play after a short while, as he pulled her close to him while starring intently into her eyes...her giggles died down as he slid himself inside the duvet...his clothed body making her aware of her unclothed one, as he pulled the duvet upto their neck, covering them...pasting her onto himself, he nuzzled into her neck, as she closed her eyes to feel the moment...aur kya kya karti hai Elina tumhe jagane keliye?......he said huskily as she stuttered in her speech...De---evvv---vvv...please...w-woh Maa aur Dad aa gaye honge...hum yahaan aise kab tak......she tried pushing him away, as his grip on her waist grew all the more tighter...haan toh...mujhe pata hai Maa aur Dad waapas aa gaye hain...main to mil bhi aaya unse...tumhare baare mein pooch rahe the...toh maine bata diya kii......he stopped abruptly to tease her more...kii?????...kya bataya Dev?...bolo na...he smirked as he looked up at her worried face...yehi ki tum bohot jyaada thak gayi ho...aur tumse utha bhi nahin jaa raha...aur isiliye tum abhi bhi soo rahi hoo......he tried maintaining a straight face, as she got up all scared...kya???!!!!!!!...tumne unhe yeh sab kahan...oh god Dev...how could you...pata nahin ab woh kya sochenge mere baare mein?...Sona was about to open up her tap of tears as it was Dev's turn now to break into laughter...oh god Sona...like seriously...look at your face...tumhe sach mein lagta hai ki main apne parents se yeh sab kahunga...shakal dekho apni...kitni zyaada darr gayi hoo tum......he continued laughing as Sona whacked him with a pillow...jyaada smart banne ki jaroorat nahin hai ok...jitna dimaag mujhe pareshaan karne mein lagate ho naa...utna yeh sochne mein lagao ki apne office mein humare bare mein kaise bataoge...aur sabse jyaada jaroori baat yeh ki Papa ko sorry kaise bologe...her words put him into deep thoughts, as he laid back letting go of his grip on her...she quickly got dressed in a new set of clothes, as she hid up her love bites with her consoler...ab jyaada mat socho...chalo utho khaana khaa lete hai...phir raat ko sochna ki kaise aur kya karna hai......she started moving out as Dev quickly followed her...accha suno, kal subah na jaldi tayyar hona...pehle tumhare ghar jaayenge...Papa se maafi maangni haina...phir office jaana hai...raaste mein kuch sochenge kaise batana hai sabko...isiliye aisa karte hai, ab jaldi se khaana khake waapas kamre mein aa jayenge...phir kahin aisa na ho ki sone mein der ho aur uthne mein deri ho jaye......Sona who was by now nodding her head affirmatively, snapped up at his last statement...ek second, baaki sab theek hai...par yeh last waali baat ka kya matlab?...sone mein der kyun hogi?...Sona questioned him righteously...arrey kya tum bhi Sona...we atleast require 2 hours na......he replied back earnestly while she furrowed her eyebrows...2 hours...for what?...she asked him all confused...kya for what?...obviously for...Round 3......he ran out of the room for his life as Sona followed him, to hit him for his cheesiness...

The doorbell rang as Bijoy opened the door for Dev and Sona...he still had a sting in his heart, his eyes failed to meet Dev's...he smiled a bit and moved aside letting them in...arrey Asha, Sona aayi hai...Dev ke saath......the last part came in as a whisper...Asha quickly came and greeted them, before disappearing into the kitchen to make some tea & snacks for her Jamaai...soon Sona followed her in, leaving an awkward Dev and Bijoy alone to chat...Dev thought a lot before initiating a conversation...finally deciding to break the ice he spoke up...Papa...woh...jo kuch bhi hua, uske liye I'm sorry... I know ki maine jo kiya bohot galat kiya...par main hoon to aapse chota na......he got down from his seat and kneeled down infront of Bijoy...jab chote galti karte hai...toh bade unhe daant lagate hai...unke kaan khinchte hai...unhe sazaa dete hai...taaki agli baar unse wahi galti dubara na hoo...Dad ko to apna beta humesha sahi lagta hai...toh woh to mujhe sazaa dene se rahe...kya aap bhi mujhe sahi raah nahin dikhayenge Papa??????......Bijoy's eyes welled up as Dev's earnest apology moved his heart...getting up he pulled Dev into a warm fatherly hug...sab karunga...daant bhi lagaun ga...kaan bhi kheenchunga aur sazaa bhi doonga......he twisted Dev's ear, as Dev yelped...aur tumhari sazaa yehi hai ki tumhe zindagi bhar meri bacchi ko jhelna hoga...uski saari zidd poori karni padegi...use kabhi bhi rulaya naa toh dekh lena...aisi maar padegi ki phir tumhara rona nahin rukega......Dev hugged Bijoy promising him to always be by Sona's side...Sona and Asha hugged each other, looking at the overwhelming scene unfolding infront of them...finally things were falling in place...

Dev walked into his office like a king, while Sona followed him meekly...she had dressed differently today, which led to all the employees stare at her...he walked past Tina's desk accompanied by Sona, they entered their cabin locking it from inside, as she looked onto them annoyingly...yeh Sir phirse Ms Malhotra ko yahaan le aaye...pata nahin problem kya hai inki......she quickly dialed Jay's number to inform him about it...Jay on the other hand was well aware that Dev was planning to reveal their relationship to his employees...ismein problem kya hai Tina...Sonakshi ko Dev ne appoint kiya hai...toh yeh decision uska hoga ki woh kahan kaam karegi...agar Dev use apne saath rakhna chahta hai toh mujhe bhala isse kya problem hai...tum jyaada tension mat lo, just follow Dev's orders......he replied curtly to Tina's information, annoying her even more...she put down the phone and muttered under her breath, as she got a call from Dev to come into his cabin...Sir, aapne mujhe bulaya?......she asked him trying to act all normal...her eyes automatically travelled to Sona who was sitting on the couch, flashing her beautiful smile...there was something different in her behavior today...something which she failed to decipher...Tina, parso mujhe ek contract ke silsile mein Paris jaana hoga...toh meri tickets book kara dena......Tina nodded and turned back to leave...wait Tina, I have still not finished...mere saath, Sonakshi bhi jayegi, toh hum dono ke tickets book karwaa dena......Tina's eyes literally popped out on hearing this...par Sir, Ms Malhotra aapke saath kaise?...she halted as Dev cut her sentence...kyun, ismein kya problem hai...Sonakshi meri personal helper hai...toh woh mere saath hi jayegi na......he sounded quite obvious...all Tina could do was nod her head silently...there's no use of arguing with the boss, she thought...Sona...apna passport aur baaki documents Tina ko handover kar do...she has to book our tickets......Sona this word certainly irked Tina even more...from when did he start addressing his employees by their nicknames...she stood dazed as Sona forwarded her documents to her...she snatched them from her, not without passing a glare at Sona...Sona stood silent as Tina looked into her passport...Sonakshi Dev Dixit...was her name in it...she glanced through to see the spouse name...Devrat Jaywant Dixit...the land slid beneath her feet, as she looked upto Sona guilt fully...she didn't have the courage to meet her eyes...flashes of all the instances when she had misbehaved with her made her feel bad about herself...she hung her head low, her eyes welled up, as Sona came forward and hugged her comfortingly...our office is blessed to have an employee like you Tina...mere pati ne jindagi mein acche kaam bade kam kiye hai......Dev glared at her as she chuckled and continued...par sabse accha kaam yehi kiya hai ki tumhe apni P.A. appoint kiya hai...aajkal ke jamaane mein jab koi apno ke baare mein bhi nahin sochta, tumne mere liye itna kuch kiya...jab ki hum kabhi mile bhi nahin the...Thank You for everything...Tina hugged her back mouthing a sorry while Dev looked on gleefully...waise Tina, galti toh tumhari badi hai...aakhir tumne meri wife ko mujhse door jo kiya...bhale acche mann se kiya par kiya naa...toh sazaa to tumhe milni chahiye......Tina and Sona looked on confused at him...waise meri meeting sirf do dino keliye hai...uske baad agar tum sazaa ke taur par humare liye ek romantic setup arrange karwaogi to we would be happy to extend our stay for two weeks...hum waise bhi apne honeymoon pe nahin gaye hai abhi tak...Sona blushed at his blunt words while Tina smiled slyly and proceeded to arrange a romantic outing for the love birds...

Dev and Sona walked out of their cabin at the end of working hours, as Sona was supposed to be officially welcomed at his place today...by now all his staff was aware of their relationship, courtesy Tina, they all looked onto Sona with immense respect, mouthing a Good Night to her as well along with Dev...Dev halted at the door, turning around he took Sona's hand into his while announcing...humari shaadi thodi jaldi mein hui thi, toh aap sabko apni wife Sonakshi se formally introduce karne ka mauka nahin mila...but kal maine aapne ghar pe ek party rakhi hai, it's a sort of reception party...aap sab invited hai...so please do come...hum dono ko accha lagega......Sona looked onto him amazed, as she was totally unaware of his plans till now...he smiled onto her reassuringly as she matched his expressions...

The decorative lights shone brighter then the stars in the sky...Dixit Niwaas was lit up like a palace...people flocked the party locale out of excitement to meet the newly wedded couple...everyone congratulated the couple, and wished them luck for their long & prosperous married life...all the while Sona's eyes held a different sort of glow...she was happy seeing her in-laws and her parents together...Dev's family had wholeheartedly accepted her, while her family had took in Dev as one of them, she looked on lovingly at Dev who was busy introducing his business associates to his better half...Dev felt a pair of eyes continuously look upto him as he turned around to meet her gaze...itna pyaar aa raha hai mujhpe toh pehle bata deti...I would have dropped the plan to hold a reception...instead we could have got ourselves a honeymoon suite...where you know...we could be all alone to display our affection......Dev whispered into her ears, as she pinched his arm to hide her blush, as he shrieked...oouch...yeh kaisa pyaar hai...this seems to be painful love...waise tumhara pyaar karne ka tareeka roz badalta hai kya?...Sona giggled at his comments...saari cheesy lines abhi bol denge Mr Dixit, to phir humara do hafte ka honeymoon boring ho jayega...kuch wahaan keliye bhi bachake rakhiye......Dev widened his eyes at her bold comment...not bad!!!!!!!!!...kisise control nahin ho raha hai...someone's getting desperate haan......Dev teased her to death, as they giggled together, their parents looking at them lovingly from afar...how could they not adore their children's happiness...afterall that's what they all had wished for...

The intruder entered the reception venue quite late...Dev had been waiting for him all this while...he had specially invited him personally, he didn't wish to tell Sona about him, but at the same time he had to be punished for his misdeeds...he looked onto Devakshi remorsefully, before moving to the bar counter...Dev had his eyes fixed on him right from the time he had entered the venue...he settled at the bar counter to sip on a few drinks, to digest the sorrow of seeing Sona happy ...Dev excused himself from the dais, and moved into the crowd to reach out to the person in question...he patted his back lightly, as the person turned behind and faked a smile to Dev...kaisa hai tu...kaafi din ho gaye tujhse mulaakat hi nahin hui...apne aur Natasha ke sangeet mein mila tha tujhe...uske baad na koi khabar na koi call...lagta hai tu apne cousin ko bilkul yaad nahin karta......Vicky looked onto Dev angered, as he tried his best to maintain his facade simply smiling and nodding...chal na tujhse kuch baat karni hai...yahaan bohot bheed aur shor hai...kahin bahar chalte hai...Dev dragged him out of the venue as Vicky could sense some danger...pulling him in the lawn, he swirled him around...yeh kya kar rahe ho Dev bhai...yeh kya tareeka hai apne bhai se pesh aane ka......Vicky seemed offended...bhai!!!!!!!!...iss shabd ka matlab bhi pata hai tujhe...ek to tujhe Natasha ka saara sach pata tha...lekin tune mujhe kabhi nahin bataya...maa ko batane waqt jaroor mil gaya tujhe...phir tu uss waqt wahaan maujood tha jab maa Natasha se kehkar woh jhooti chitthi likhwa rahi thi...par tune mujhe bataya nahin...maine apni hi dost se nafrat karne laga...lekin tujhe hum dono pe taras nahin aaya...aur ab tu itna gir gaya hai ki Sona ko, apni bhabhi ko blackmail karne laga hai...kyun Vicky?...kyun kar raha hai yeh sab?...Dev choked up while saying the last words...yehi janna chahte ho na bhai ki maine yeh sab kyun kiya?...to suno...maine yeh isiliye kiya kyunki main Sonakshi se nafrat karta hoon...lekin woh, humesha se Bunny Bunny karke aapke peeche ghoomti rehti aayi...meri toh koi importance hi nahin thi aapke life mein, aapke liye aapka sabkuch humesha se woh ladki rahi hai...phir maine socha ki bua ke plan se aap aur woh alag ho jayenge...lekin aapki toh mat maari gayi thi...aapne use apni jindagi se nikaalne ki bajaye, usse shaadi karli...phir bhi ek umeed baaki thi ki aap use tadpayenge aur mera use takleef mein dekhne ka sapna poora hoga...lekin yahaan bhi aapke dil ne mera plan bigaad diya...aapko usse pyara jo ho gaya tha...hadd hai bhai...apne alaawa aur kisiko uske paas nahin aane dete na aap...tabhi toh maine use blackmail karna shuru kiya...taaki woh darr darr ke jiye...lekin as always Dev Dixit shines again...aapne mujhe dhoond hi liya...he spat angrily as Dev held him by his collar...tujhse baat karna bhi bekaar hai Vicky...teri sirf ek hi sazaa hai...tujhe Sona ko tadpaana tha na, ab main tumhe aisi jagah bhejunga jahaan se tum Sona tak kabhi pohunch nahin paoge...the police came forward and arrested Vicky, while Dev looked on disgustingly...finally he had managed to uproot the thorn from Sona's life.

Dev and Sona were all set to leave for their business cum honeymoon trip...Jay and Bijoy were getting emotional to see off their kids for such a long tour, as Ishwari and Asha were busy mocking them for their over-emotional behavior, while assuring them that Devakshi will be back soon...finally bidding adieu to the newlyweds, the parents returned back to their respective homes...as Devakshi took off on a journey which will mark the beginning of their long love life...their togetherness, an altogether different level of their friendship...who would have thought they would get hitched to each other 6 months back?...but as they say God has plans for all his creations...just like "Life had altogether different plans for Dev and Sonakshi...DEVAKSHI!!!!!!!!!!!
