New test for Dev: will he pass?

Dev always knew and told Sona that he loved her
He loved her before too ... but here is the test

Saath nibha Sakta hai?

1. Can he stand up for her ?
2. Can he accept his mom will never fully accept her and be ok with it ?
3. When and will he learn to trust her ?

I am so glad that sona was sensible

She loves Dev too --- but she knows he has no idea how to deal with his mom

Unless she sees a new Dev, devakshi cannot exist
For a change I hope dev passes this test !!

The show has always been about Dev balancing his relationship between his mom and Sonakshi and not giving up on one of them for the other. Unfortunately, he gave up on Sonakshi in S1. Now it is not going to be easy for Dev and this is not going to be his "win-win situation" strategy. This time the stakes are high as Soha too is involved in the equation. We all know how much he cares for his daughter, but this time I want him to stand by Sonakshi's side, not because of the fear of losing Soha but for Sonakshi only.

I think after the separation nd their ugly talks as well as mature talks it's pretty clear what sona actually wanted nd what mistake he did 7 yrs back. Sona only wants his support nd he understood it ab itne me b samajh nhi aaya to BAAHUBALI dikha do from there only he can get how to support ur wife in front of ur godly mother. Even God can make mistake so how could one woman who is so emotional can be right every time.

I never saw Dev balancing the two key relationships. Mataajee always came first.. first breakup, Vicky job, non pregnancy news break, fertility, sona family being called golddiggers, thappaD episode, returning money, pushing her in mom and then kicking her out, blaming her for prenup!!!

I think he will and he just has too otherwise it will be repetition of season 1 and who will want to watch sona going through same torture again and seeing dev as a weak person. If again the same story repeats then even the hardcore viewer of the show will bail out on it

I think, he will. Your second point is the crux of this situation and his breakfree from guilt trips/ emotional blackmails. In season 1, all through I watched Dev trying to establish a forced bond between ishwari and sonakshi ... so much that he started believing that fake pregnancy will grow a bond between them (perhaps sound 3 months , that's max he could hide preg) which won't break even if they later know it's not true. He was totally loving that that his mom can actually throw him out of the house for his wife. He has been a people pleaser for those who he cares about. So, this season he has to accept that whether ishwari accepts sonakshi or not doesn't change the fact that she is now his inner circle( he expressed this yesterday him, sona and soha). About the guilt trips, I think sonakshi is helping him to breakfree from it... she is reinforcing his goods and encouraging him not to blame himself for everything. He will come out of it. Rather he has to ! I am watching the show with this hope... and I know many others are too. So the maker better not disappoint us
