I really loved what yash Sir had to say about the show that he watches it personally, that he doesn't show something he is not convinced about, that the leap was planned, that he will stop the show when there is no story to tell.
It is refreshing to see the creators so into the storyline.
And secondly, from the last two episodes I am in awe of the depth of the relationship they are showing.
Specially the hospital scene and saunita scene.
So summing up what I love.
We have known that both love each other. That has been a constant always and still is. In the previous phase as yash Sir calls it, there was love but to some extent immature too influenced by outside pressure. And there was a lack of communication, which lead to lack in understanding and ultimately a breach of trust. Just like Dev never spoke to his mom, sona never spoke about her behaviour to dev openly. It's like both didn't work together on including ishwari and bridging the gap and all fell apart. If once dev had tried to show the side of sona to ishwari that he loved, if only sona had made dev aware of his mother's insecurities instead of thinking she was a superhero. Remember how we used to wait for her to speak to dev, to break down because it's not natural for anyone to hold on for so long.
Ultimately because of such misunderstandings and other external factors came up the hiding and lying, leading to the breakdown and to the trust issues we see now.
The love is still there comes up in small instances. Like dev making coffee for her, reducing AC temp, standing for her and family in front of raunita mom eyc
While sona in the camp when with kids, then the accident, keeping bijoy from going overboard, listening to his stories, knowimg he has to stay something without him saying it etc. And both by exchanging the looks they did yesterday.
But it's far complex than that. As they explained to saunita they have slowly started understanding what went wrong. Like sona keeping all to herself not letting anyone help her, like dev being blind when it comes to mom, and more importantly their families and then always blaming the other and misunderstandings rather than trying to understand. Just like asha said she and bijoy could do it because they learnt adjusted as they went and never gave up. While devakshi couldn't stay together. That is not wrong or right just a fact.
Now as slowly one by one misunderstandings will be cleared, they will still take time to own up to their feeling and trust each b other because they are scared now of their bitter past. They yearn for each others presence yet hold back thinking of the consequences and turmoil of will bring to their lives thanks in no small amount to their families. They have guarded up their heart and don't want to put down the defences again though sometimes it does like in the wedding yesterday.
And the biggest point is just like asked yesterdag will they be able to forgive the other and give each other a chance again.
That's why I feel it's a beautiful relationship with lots of complexity. Truly a tussle between heart and mind because you know you will always love the person even if the best option for to you both is to stay away. As dev said humne ek dusre ko sirf dukh hi diye hai.
They are holding back now because of their personal experiences before. Being practical in love. Is it possible?
The show is still trying to find out.
And it's so different from other relationships such first of all don't get priority in family issues. Then the wife is a saint always working along sacrificing to save family. Here we saw dev being the bad person and making most mistakes. We see first everyone including husband misunderstanding her and then saying sorry once truth is out and the wife forgiving him easily. Here about riya issue dev already new. And this cycle is monotonously repeated again and again. But in devakshi we see a dynamism, complexity and potential for more.
Currently I am loving it again, the slow built up to the relationship. In love with show again can't wait to see them unite for they will be now all we wanted them to be earlier
