Friendship

Season 1

Dev was the first one to tell Sonakshi that she can treat him as a friend. The scene in which he gives her a bouquet with flowers of his choice with an apology note. In that note he had asked her consider him as a friend and not as a boss. From then on they have called each other friends but in reality they were never close to friendship. Even thou Dev tried to discuss his problems with her ,he still maintained a distance and always had a wall betwn them. At the same time she never opened up to him to discuss her problems. Through out their friendship they were formal with each other. Always saw to that their words dont hurt the other person. For Dev she was like someone with whom he could share his thoughts but there was still some hindrance to get into that total friendship Zone...there was always some kind of tension ...and unknown one.
Example : The scene in which they are sitting on the car bonnet and drinking coffee. Yes he is discussing with her and she is trying to help him...but the body language and words were so formal . Their body language never showed a comfort that you could see among friends. At least not from Sonakshi...she was even more formal and careful. And then Dev confessed his love for her , she accepted his love. Dev became more open to her , accepted her even more into "HIS" life BUT never into "HIS FAMILY". That zone of his ONLY belonged to his mom. And when Sonakshi as his wife tried to step into that Zone . Hell broke loose and since they lacked that total friendship/trust/acceptance/communication ...ISHWARI WON!! GKB and HER PLANS WON!!

NOTE : When you look at their journey in Season 1 I feel for Sonakshi ..Dev was her love first and then friendship happened. But for Dev , Sonakshi was his best friend first and then his love. And Sonakshi never felt equal to him. She always felt inferior to him...probably because she came form a middle class family .

They lost as friends , lovers , as husband and wife!!

Season 2

It began with total hatred . They never thought after 7 yrs of separation ,there was anything betwn them that could connect each other ...all that was left was pure hatred. Dev Knew he failed as a husband and at the same time he was angry with her because she just left with out trusting him...that too when he had told her how difficult he is to deal with...She had promised him that even if he leaves she will not leave him...( I am not trying to justify him ..highlighting his POV)

And She , remembered him only thru the pain he gave because the good part of him was seen thru Sohu - their symbol of love, her reason to live.

Now when Dev came to know about Soha and that Sonakshi had come with the child to meet him, but his mom sent them back shattered him...at the same time he found a new reason to live. He understood Sonakshi is the world for Soha and knew with out her Soha would be incomplete. But Soha had other plans after she got to know her father she wanted both her parents to be together living with her ..

And now begins a new journey...a journey that cant be taken alone...this journey needed partnership, friendship, trust, loyalty ,respect, honesty, affection for each other , total acceptance of each other and above all needed to communicate with each other openly ...else it would hurt their daughter , their symbol of love. They had brought her into this world, it was their responsibility to see to that she was happy. With out each other fulfilling her needs ...especially her emotional needs be difficult. The one thing that SOHA HAD ASKED FROM THEM is their togetherness ...no amount of money or power can get that togetherness...because this is something ONLY DEV AND SONAKSHI CAN GIVE HER!!

NOTE : When you look at the journey in Season 2 I feel their relationship has more friendship than season1 . They are on equal terms as Dev and Sonakshi ...not Miss Bose or Mr. Dixit. They communicate very well ...no holding back thinking that the other will feel bad. If you see the body language , they are so comfortable especially conversation sitting on the pavement discussing about Soha's silence...then yesterday.. conversation at Dev's office , she on his chair and he sitting on the table sipping coffee...it seemed like two very close friends trying to find solution for their problem. Loved it !!

Here they have crossed the first huddle by becoming comfortable with each other with no inhibitions and communicating with each other. Now they HAVE TO WIN as parents of Suhana, for that they need to be good friends, learn to trust each other and not the world around them...infact learn to keep the relatives at bay so that Soha will not be pulled into unnecessary quarrels...above all learn to accept every aspect of each others character...

And my logic says they will be wonderful parents and great partners...AND THIS TIME THEY WILL WIN AS A FAMILY...AS LONG AS THE CVs DONT WANT TO MAKE ISHWARI LOOK LIKE GOD!!

PS : If the CVs again show Ishwari manipulating Soha to get her away from Sonakshi ...justifying the act by belittling that lil childs character ...like the way they did with Sonakshi /Bijoy/Dev...I will confine myself to updates and not watch on TV...high time they STOP GLORRIFYING ISHWARI .

Thank you !! After seeing yesterdays episode ..especially the scene in which she is sitting on his chair and him on the table casually ...talking to each other...with no inhibition...referring each other as tum or by first name...I had to write about it ...it was so beautiful...I would love to see more such scenes which will highlight their friendship.

I would love to see dev n asha's conversation...i don't think sona on her own will talk about her struggles with dev ...asha s talks might push dev to ask sona about her life for past 7 years..
Somewhere i think jatin will also play some role..i know you n many don't like jatin as third angle...but i definitely believe jatin exactly knows where he stands and he ll act as a good friend to sona n soha...what you think?

I don't like Jatin as a third angle but I would love to see him as a good friend of Dev and Sonakshi. In fact I want Dev to have a good friend. I want Dev to look at Asha and understand how a mother needs to be ...also See how different Sonakshi as mother is to Soha ...compare his mom and his relationship ...because, both Ishwari and Sonakshi are single parents. Infact Sona was in a worse situation than Ishwari...as she was pregnant separated from her husband...on the streets with responsibility of her family ...with no money or job...

I want Dev to think how strong and united their family is ...because they stayed together during the troubled times...where Dixits are together because of Dev's wealth.

So yes there are lot of scenes that I want to see but I feel we might not get to watch because for CVs , Ishwari is imp...and am sure they will destroy that Soha's character too ...to glorify Ishwari!!

Exactly !! This question is there in every viewers mind...but no one has the answer...even logic/deep analysis fails to find an answer for this question...ONLY CVs can answer it !!

Even i want dev to understand what is really family and realise sona s struggle... I just dont want cvs to glorify ishwari through soha or sona...atleast this time i want dev to stand strong for his new family ...and in this one week realise where he went wrong... I wish we get asha and dev or dev and jatin scence or even daddi can work... And hope they reduce ishwari s good for nothing speechs l!!

Good post👏
I am also planning to stop watching if they glorify Esh. High time they stopped the stupidity.

Why so much importance to her? 😕

To me, it is good they are showing them as equals. Loved the friendship growth in the last two episodes. Pavement, riding on a bike together, talking over coffee, Sona being blunt with Dev on how his house is seen through her experiences, etc. Dev calling Bijoy - Mr Bose. Sona calling Ishwari, Mrs Dixit... all point towards a more determined way of dealing with the people who ruined them..I want to see a more rebellious Dev now! Rebellious with Ishwari!
