This is funny. Told you, appreciate his manliness ( I mean noble heart and chivalry) and stop asking questions!!

BTW, he is not looking for a patch up with Sona. He is bonding with his daughter, Soha.
Like living with the Dixits, Sona couldn't become a Dixit, living with the Boses, Dev won't become a Bose. Mission now is to see if his daughter will become a Dixit!

It was not infidelity, but definitely "out of character" for Dev. Devakshi were not together.

However, that doesn't matter... KRPKAB has never closed loops or resolution of anything... 1) Khatri 2) ex GKB burning her own house down 3) Neha 4) the other sis who was going to get married, then didn't to that guy who had a relationship with this cuz.. yuck 5) Ishwari being jealous of Devakshi love life and privacy.. another yuck 😕 6) prenup 7) Vicky's fraud and that investigation... and the list goes on and on😆

As for Sonakshi, she has always been charmed by Dev and believes in true love. I hope she doesn't fall for him sooo easily and forgive him again.. without any redemption. Forget what happened 7 years ago and what Dev was doing during those 7 years... the things that Dev has said and done to Sonakshi in Season 2... are unforgivable and CVs have to show him explaining himself to Sona.. whys and whats and ask for forgiveness before Sona just becomes his lover/wife again😡 You don't throw around words like "feminist" and "kya kya kiya to become successful in short time" etc. etc. etc.. not to mention... locking her up late at night in office, tying her with a rope!!!

I am of the same opinion as you. But my reason is different. Here's my point.

1. If they are divorced, Dev can sleep with anyone he wants. That's not cheating.

2. If they are not divorced and merely separated as some people were speculating due to lack of time and lack of communication, then Dev was cheater and no woman should go back together with cheater.

However, regardless of the situation, if he is fine with Sonakshi having/pretending to have physical relationship with random guys while flaunting them on his face and he is willing to forget that, then I am fine with Sonakshi letting it go as well.

But the fact that just seeing her having an innocent lunch with Jatin made him break his laptop, he has no right to expect Sonakshi taking him back despite his womanising past while he was drowning his sorrow in alcohol and random women.

There was a famous scene in a movie called "Arth". That was one of my favourite movie actually. In that movie, Shabana Azmi's husband divorces her and moves in with Smitha Patil. Later he regrets leaving Shabana and comes back to her expecting her to take him back.

Shabana asks a question which I think Sonakshi should ask. She asked, "If she had divorced him and lived with another man and then later came back to him asking to be taken back, would he had forgiven her and accepted her?"

Her husband could not answer the question and his lowered head and silence was the answer.

I am sure, Dev will have no answer either if Sona asks the same question. But then Sona doesn't have Shabana's personality either nor in that movie, Shabana's husband was the hero who should be justified for everything he does.

I have a different thought process on infidelity with regards to the show and Dev and Sona.

Whether legally divorced or not, both of them separated 7 years ago. Dev chose to drown himself in alcohol and seeking pleasure or say respite in the company of several women. Sona, since not shown to us, has probably not indulged in either of it.

To me, it's fair - out of sight, out of mind, life goes on - so in practicality of life, it's fine what Dev chose for himself. Marriage was over in their hearts, whether on paper or not doesn't matter and therefore I don't think it can be termed as cheating.

In current scenario, when both are back in business of love with each other, or given what they shared in the past, if they do indulge in seeking pleasure in another person (mental or physical) then I would term it as cheating.

In real life, it will be hard to believe that Dev who was so madly deeply in love would move on for sexual pleasures, and there is absolutely no possibility of them getting back together. But this is fiction, love conquers all... And rest of the emotional stuff will be fed in, you see!

Sonakshi has all the rights to question him about his past so called gfs coz of the way he taunted Sona on moving on with Jatin when they patch up.But right now they have left an ambiguity about his life for past 7 years.Devakshi patchup is not happening so early so let's see what happens.
