Oh but he didn't. Soha brought the form home. He didn't let Sonakshi know.
And that day when Sonakshi called Dev? She didn't promise Dev the night before that Soha will do lunch with him. She said that she will call the next day and let him know the time. Dev assumed that he is doing lunch with Soha. When Sonakshi called she gave Dev the entire schedule of Soha and asked him to meet her at 4 p.m. Dev said that he can't wait that long. Sonakshi also said what time she will have to leave for Soha's activity class. Dev despite knowing that he won't make one hour journey in 30 mins decided to try. He was impatient to meet his daughter, I get it. But his choices are not Sonakshi's fault. She called herself and informed him of the entire schedule.
If you recall that episode, never once Sonakshi blamed Dev that he didn't reach on time. Dev blamed Sonakshi for him unable to reach on time. Sonakshi asked him to meet Soha at 4 p.m. When Sonakshi called she also didn't ask where Dev was. He was at home, we know that. But in a working day, why would she assume that Dev will be at home?
I will give you an example. Sorry, I find it easier to explain with examples so please bear with me. It's like when I meet my friends for lunch on a working day, they sometimes call me and tell me where they are having lunch. Based on that information I decide if within the one hour window of my lunch break, I will be able to make it. If not, I make other plans or meet them after work. Can I blame them for calling me and informing me a lunch place too far away to meet if I decide to try to reach there anyway knowing that they also have work to get back to and limited lunch hour? No, I can't. It was my choice to try to race against time.
Imagine if Sonakshi that day, instead of calling Dev herself and let him know Soha's schedule asked her assistant to send an email to Dev? Wouldn't that be an insulting thing to do? Wouldn't we call it a sign of arrogance and contempt?
But today not informing Sonakshi isn't the only instance. When Dev broke into Soha's room and tried to sneak her out without informing Sonakshi makes me believe that he didn't think it's even necessary to inform the person who gave birth to this child and raised her. Had Soha not shown sense that day, he would have sneaked her in. This time he didn't take Soha directly from school anywhere because the contract he signed would have made him lose Soha. Otherwise, based on his prior behaviour, it's not hard to imagine that he could have done it.
My point is that just like every time Sonakshi wants to take Soha somewhere for more than one day, she should pick up the phone and call herself, the same way, everytime Dev wants to take Soha somewhere, he should pick up the phone and call himself.
@ bold. But didn't he let the Bose family know. He did not take the signed form with him nor he already submitted it in school. He also did not take her directly from school to anywhere. He sent the form with Soha to her home, where he knew she would tell Bose family about it. Also he knew he would come there to pick her up. He was neither irresponsible nor has any need to discuss anything with Sonakshi.
And if there is a need, it works both ways. Sonakshi needs to discuss too and cannot just change pllans in last minute and then blame Dev himself that you did not reach on time. She has to be honest too...š
