Awesome post as usual Deeps. Also you are right about the overreaction with respect to Ishwari. Cvs have made us hate the character so much that any happiness shown by her becomes intolerable.
Add to it her totally self centered behaviour.! You might have felt that Dev wanted to keep the family environment happy but I felt as if he pitied her and found a kinship in her pain. He is feeling as if his mother is going through the same pain and happiness as him and not having anyone else to share his feelings at this vulnerable time, is slowly inching back towards her.

What Dev is not realising is that his mother doesn't believe in loving, she believes in possessing and in her desire to acquire Soha Dixit might irrevocably damage his relationship with his daughter.

I don't have much hopes from Dev when this happens except to hit the bottle and cry because he is a mental prisoner of ishwari. He can cry, scream and show his displeasure but he can't break the bars of his cage. Or maybe Dev the father might achieve what Dev the husband couldn't, that is break free.

Nice positive analysis deepa 😊
I'm glad that soha noticed gkb saying bout sona n pointed the same to dev but as usual dev didn get it while ish maa noticed the "Mr Dixit" from soha.

Saunita is a cute couple & i too enjoyed their scenes.

Dev taking the rejected bite of soha from his maa was ok though nt necessary & the saddist in me was nt happy 😉. I'm glad that sona made soha independent in contrast to ish ma's dev in season 1 . I felt dev's action to please his maa as he's well aware of her emotional athyachar but leaving a confused soha.

I'm against dev for nt correcting his maa wen she 's saying total nonsense bout sona. Maa said that sona kept soha away from them for 6 yrs . How effortlessly she said that, ignoring the fact that it was she who sent the 6 month old soha n her mom bak from their door step. If wanted, sona can make soha against them citing this example but she didn do that. I wud 've appreciated dev had he pointed this fact to his maa as sona didn do anything wrong. But the CVs r hell bent on making ishwari oblivious again n again .( The other 2 instances r , first , wen ishwari accused sonakshi for their rushed marriage wer in reality, it was ishwari who's after their marriage for the happiness of her son with the aanchal phailaing drama . Secondly, she accused sonakshi that "usne dev ka office cheen liya " but it was vicky who sold the property) Now mataji is on the mission makin soha bose to soha dixit . Y can't she jst see soha as her poti other than ms bose or ms dixit ??

Golu n soha r a bliss to watch & it's the only brighter side after the leap, so far .

Hi ... awesome post deepsel!!

On a serious note ...it's always Ishwari and her actions keep the story moving . She is one solely responsible for changing the equations of each and every member of this story . So yes ...if the story should move to next level her actions are actually required. I ll change Suhana Bose to Suhana Dixit is a decision that any paternal grandparents may take seeing thier varis having maternal house qualities. She again and again forgets the fact that her son is happy to get some happiness back.

She sees Sona here only . Forgetting the fact that both were single mothers who have risen up thier kids on their own ... starting from scratch to a better position they are today. Ishwari was uneducated... her days sufferings were different ... working in house etc., But Ishwari lived with her husband atleast for 10 years ...considering Dev lost his father @ 8. She had enjoyed the company of her husband in her childbirth... they could have cherished lot of functions ... so on.

She was the one who told Pathi hone aur na hone ke farq mein jantha hoon.

But Sona never had any of this previlege... there is nothing that she could enjoy or cherish from her failed marriage.

1.The hard hitting factor for Dev to realize Sona's worth will be that she too struggled and she was also intimidated by the society for her marital status. It was his decision of throwing her out put her in this position. After he realizes that it should also get resurfaced to Ishwari. It will take a very long time for Cv to show this fact.

2. Ishwari should make efforts to try to change Suhana ... this is the point where again the equation of all three will start changing towards each other ... Dev should win his daughter love... Here Ishwari forgot that quotient. Yesterday we saw how Suhana caught hold of GKB mentioning Sona name ... any intention of showing Sona in bad light to Suhana will put all three in soup again... this is where the butterfly mentioned by Dev will come ... he should inch towards his love and it had to go from him and here Dev will be Father Dev ... to shut the bad mouthing of Sona in Dixit house ... knowingly or unknowingly this Father Dev will be the one to stand up for his two ladies ... which he never did as Husband Dev.

Remember Jatin words ... Dev can play only one role at a time ...yesterday he started little balancing ... baby step.

3. Saurabh marriage ... this may bring change to Bijoy - Saurabh equation. Again seeing Ronitha mom face gave an impression that she may be unhappy in future with Sona marital status and the family support she has in the house ... still in Indian households this is a negative image very very difficult to leave. But the couple is so cute ... and Saurabh handling the situations well was very positive.

Sorry for the long post ..

Deepa di excellent post... A vry nice analysis... I also loved d epi... I loved each and every scene... Thr was justification too with each acts of d characters... Sona s fear and asha consoling, dev ki khushiyan which he wanted back for the past 7 yrs is finally within him.. Abd now really he doesnt want to burst it.. As he always fears that his happiness don't last long...
Abt ishu well i wll say at first she was genuinely happy and elated to meet soha.. Thats common... And she was shocked too... That's also common.. Yes ishu is intolerable and her last dialogues of making soha as a dixit from bose made me cringe... Bt if i leave this... Then she reacted exactly like what you mentioned... Evn i hv also seen real ppl like ishu and soha if u consider them as an unit... Like a dadi poti... And also children like soha too exists in society...

Lastly... It was really a good epi with cute siblings bonding and also a remembrance to the jhoola...

I feel he will able to free himself because the moment she will try to harm soha he will able to free himself because after that he will not able to connect with her as a mother also.
I think this will be the last nail to the cofine. What I feel actluy ishu has done so much damage in the dev's life he shown the displeasure but because of the hardship and the various scrifies done by her in dev childhood has caged him that's, why he has not left her
He mantain the distance but not left her completely. Like when when prenup was the end of god image, in the same way in any way harm to soha or the, creation of the situation by which soha can be away from him will be the point he will free himself. And then ishu sudharo will start but for that atlest 150 episodes, will required

Exclent post deepa. I feel dev was trying avoid the ishu's drama so he eat the food from ishu's hand. Actluy I have seen the old dev who was trying to control the isu's rection due to the fear of loosing sona
Same, is, applied here he want soha should be confrtable will him so he was tring to control ishu's drama. I think he will try this for some time but at one point he, required to take, a stand, as a father and stop ishu
And the upcoming summer camp will help dev to understand sona as mother and to sona dev as father. And I am happy immediately they are jumping to summer camp.

I really liked the episode today. Did not find anything wrong with devs behavior. He will never disrespect his mother but at same time he's nowhere close to dev1.0.

Previously of his mom was upset about anything he would go that extra mile to fix things. Now he explains how pov & leaves it at that. Right now his only focus is to be part of sohas life & nothing else even his mom matter.

I think he will probably react with more force only when something that ish does harms soha

Soha golu & Asha sona scenes were nice.

Thanks Preethi !

Exactly old Dev would have even made Suhana call him "Papa" just in front of "Daadi" to make her feel better😆. His core value of respecting Ishwari will always remain the same but not the pleasing part as before😳. Even I feel Dev the "papa" will be more fierce when harm strikes Suhana.

Thanks Payal😊. Tell me about it😆

Add to it her totally self centered behaviour.! You might have felt that Dev wanted to keep the family environment happy but I felt as if he pitied her and found a kinship in her pain. Yes , you have a point too. Few days back, something popped in that indifferent Dev when Ishwari mentioned "Now that you are a father too, you can understand me well". So may be as you said, Dev pities her but somehow I feel he won't repeat the same mistake he did with Sona. I see he has started to "ask" Ishwari to be happy in his happiness rather than "pleading" and drowning in her sorrows and feeling guilty about it.

What Dev is not realising is that his mother doesn't believe in loving, she believes in possessing and in her desire to acquire Soha Dixit might irrevocably damage his relationship with his daughter.

If he realizes that this soon, what will makers show for one more year😆 They need all three leads with some MU to move the story naa😛

Atleast for Suhana's sake I feel Dev won't hit the bottle now. As you said Dev the father will break the shackles this time. If not, this leap will not make any sense😳.
