Awesome post as usual Deeps. Also you are right about the overreaction with respect to Ishwari. Cvs have made us hate the character so much that any happiness shown by her becomes intolerable.
Add to it her totally self centered behaviour.! You might have felt that Dev wanted to keep the family environment happy but I felt as if he pitied her and found a kinship in her pain. He is feeling as if his mother is going through the same pain and happiness as him and not having anyone else to share his feelings at this vulnerable time, is slowly inching back towards her. What Dev is not realising is that his mother doesn't believe in loving, she believes in possessing and in her desire to acquire Soha Dixit might irrevocably damage his relationship with his daughter.I don't have much hopes from Dev when this happens except to hit the bottle and cry because he is a mental prisoner of ishwari. He can cry, scream and show his displeasure but he can't break the bars of his cage. Or maybe Dev the father might achieve what Dev the husband couldn't, that is break free.

Hi Deepa. Nice ananlysis as usual.
I really liked the episode today. Did not find anything wrong with devs behavior. He will never disrespect his mother but at same time he's nowhere close to dev1.0.
Previously of his mom was upset about anything he would go that extra mile to fix things. Now he explains how pov & leaves it at that. Right now his only focus is to be part of sohas life & nothing else even his mom matter.
I think he will probably react with more force only when something that ish does harms soha
Soha golu & Asha sona scenes were nice.

Thanks Payal😊. Tell me about it😆Add to it her totally self centered behaviour.! You might have felt that Dev wanted to keep the family environment happy but I felt as if he pitied her and found a kinship in her pain. He is feeling as if his mother is going through the same pain and happiness as him and not having anyone else to share his feelings at this vulnerable time, is slowly inching back towards her.Yes , you have a point too. Few days back, something popped in that indifferent Dev when Ishwari mentioned "Now that you are a father too, you can understand me well". So may be as you said, Dev pities her but somehow I feel he won't repeat the same mistake he did with Sona. I see he has started to "ask" Ishwari to be happy in his happiness rather than "pleading" and drowning in her sorrows and feeling guilty about it.What Dev is not realising is that his mother doesn't believe in loving, she believes in possessing and in her desire to acquire Soha Dixit might irrevocably damage his relationship with his daughter. If he realizes that this soon, what will makers show for one more year😆 They need all three leads with some MU to move the story naa😛I don't have much hopes from Dev when this happens except to hit the bottle and cry because he is a mental prisoner of ishwari. He can cry, scream and show his displeasure but he can't break the bars of his cage. Or maybe Dev the father might achieve what Dev the husband couldn't, that is break free.Atleast for Suhana's sake I feel Dev won't hit the bottle now. As you said Dev the father will break the shackles this time. If not, this leap will not make any sense😳.
