The flashback yday throws some light on Dev;s current behaviour. But somehow, while his blaming Ishwari for his current state was right,he also blamed Sona for leaving him. How could he not remember that he himself first asked sona to leave him. Sona was evicted from her house. In fact to be fair to sona, she did try to call dev when vicky landed up at her house. She dint believe dev could do such a thing. But vicky's manipulations got the better of her.And ofcourse another shock awaited her, when she finally reached dev. The prenup agreement that dev had signed. How was she to know that Dev had signed the papers without reading them, that he had no knowledge of what was in them ? The papers clearly showed her that dev haf never trusted her and thought she was after her money. What else wud u expect a independent, self-respecting woman to do in such circumstances? To me, she had no choice but to leave him, for her self respect and honor.
And Dev he conveniently forgets everything. Forgets mistakes he committed. Forgets how hard sona tried to gel with his family . No Mr Dev Dixit, someone needs to show you the mirror. Elena could have done it.
In fact, along with Ishwari, he himself is also equally responsible. What Sona said was absolutely bang on. He really acted in a spineless way where his wife was concerned. Innumerable occassions he watched silently as sona was subjected to taunts and insulted by GKB. All the lies and deceptions he told to keep his mom happy, the blame was squarely put on sona by ishwari. He forgot his own promises to sona. Sona had trusted him again after their first breakup. The first breakup happened also becoz of ishwari, and again the same thing happened. ishwari's self pitying attitude , her playing the victim always where dev sona were concerned, its still not over. She is still the same.Her son is never to balme, always its sonakshi.
If one thinks from sona's pov, she showed a lot of patience. She really tried to make ishwari happy. When did she ever ask dev to choose between herself & his mom? In fact she always accepted to him that for him, his mom wud always cum before her.
But dev with his myopic view and selective memory does not remember this.
Wonder if cvs plan to show any redemption or self realisation for dev? As also for ishwari ?
