So I don't know much about Bengali culture and rituals but I can say when different cultures get married there will always be bacchanal that's what we call it in Trinidad. But at the end if the day it is the couple that got married.. I thought it was good to show all the behind scenes bacchanal that happens in a wedding...and these things do happen...in Trinidad there are a lot of multi culture marriages multi racial marriages...and what a parent would accept most relatives don't accept and understand...dev and sona is a cultural difference my parents were religious difference but the families adjusted my mother grew up in a house that never consumed beef but that did not stop her parents from eating or drinking at my dads parents home...my mom dad says god knows what's in the heart and he thought her the same...
So today's episode was true to for as to the things that happens in a wedding not to much elaboration on the ceremony...like the other Indian serial.. Plus I really like dev and sona...Sony did right with this show...PS bacchanal means confusion and chaos in Trini language.
