After watching the yesterday's proposal episode (twice!) and reading all the rants on the forum, sharing my two cents on the whole occurrence.

For all the people who did not like the episode/ proposal for various reasons (and I am aware that I might get bashing for it, but I shall take the risk 🤢):
Guys, this is a SERIAL and not a MOVIE. So please understand that this cannot have a 'definitive screenplay' and bring a package deal of all emotion/passion/love/apology etc in a 20-minute episode.
The episode may not necessarily depict the events in a particular order/sequence sometimes.
Dev will talk to Sona's family (which is tonight) ; Dev-Sona are likely to have some heart-to-heart chats and outbursts about the past incidents - so chill!

The proposal was beautiful - had the right mix of emotions, longing, love. You could very well see from Dev's eyes how much she meant to him and he cared for (from his words when he apologized and his touch 👏) Nothing was OTT. It was real and touching in many ways.

A good movie will have an an immediate impact but a good serial/ drama/ daily soap operates a lot differently - let the story unfold and grow on you.

Agreed and totally understand your point . Movie and serials have a different approach when written .
But I keep thinking , they were able to do it for nearly 100 plus episodes so beautifully..and kept the viewers on the edge...and every viewer loved to go back and see those episodes again and again...so why cant they do it now...what is that gap makes so many people think that this serial is loosing it ??

What I feel is they are trying to follow the typical Sas bahu serial to improve their TRP...which is taking them away from their strengths...one should be convinced of what is been shown if the viewers have to be convinced...I doubt if they themselves are convinced abt what they are showing ...and hence a lot of us are not able to connect to what they are showing...

I could be wrong here...but its just my thought...felt I could share with the forum friends.

Totally agree !
Great post 👏
Everything will move parallel with the coming track
Dev's redemption, his bond with Bose family, their intense talks .. They will show it all .. But as you said it's not a movie .. They can't show all this at a time & then go for the proposal !

I think we are just expecting too much and nothing else ! Earlier we used to wait for the episodes and then analyse it and now we predict things first & ofcourse attach our expectations to that ..
We should wait for the story to move forward .. I'm sure they have alot for us in the store
No offends .. Just my views :)

I totally get your point, even I like to go back to those old scenes - but think about it, we go back to the scenes where we have 1)Dev-Sona interactions 2) Ishwari-Sona's early bonding 3) Other similar stuff. But when things got unpleasant - why would we want to revisit it, right? Even unpleasant, it never got to the point of being saas-bahu drama (but I still don't like watching them)

In my opinion, Confession has the maximum repeat value, after that I find myself intrigued with the Mahaepisode Dev's outburst and finally. yetserday's proposal bit - retained repeat value.

Very TRUE. Its a Serial and not a Film. That is exactly what Makers have been showing us right from the beginning till about 100 odd episodes. the uniqueness of KRPKAB has been its presentation of story telling, no OTT and being able to relate to it as a common man. And that is exactly what attracted all the viewers towards it. Inspte of not having a good "TRP", its still is the most talked about show because ppl connect to it.
But ydays epi was not realistic and had a lot of DISCONNECTS. There are a lot of posts explaining that so I wouldnt start on it. Yes they need to take the storyline ahead. They did so beautifully in the 1st 100 episodes and could have easily done it yday too. It was very evident that everything was rushed. How many episodes were utilized to portray the halwa incident or Ishwari's OTT drama of cooking over the stove or the Bedsheet shopping track? Didnt 2 of the most important DevAkshi tracks - Patch Up and Proposal need its due time and space?

To answer your query in short, patch up/ proposal started off yesterday.. count it as 1 episode and now we will get more episodes this week. Its not a open and shut case!
May I ask what was not 'realistic' about the proposal?

Nice post sia! Even I was a bit disappointed when Dev did not go to Bose house for apology .I felt since Bijoy gave the green signal for the Marriage,It was a basic courtesy for Dev to meet Sona's parents, talk about past incidents, apologize, give them confidence about his love for Sona and finally ask for permission to take her along with him to Ishwari Niwas, but I guess apology part will happen today. So you are right Its a serial and the episode may not necessarily depict the events in a particular order/sequence.

The proposal was simple yet romantic for me and as you rightly said nothing OTT.Again we got to see hugs and flying hug 🥱 The moment Sona sat on Dev's knees,I was like now they will kiss but Alas, since they are too sanskari, how could I have even thought of it,😕like someone said "Inse naa hopayega".😆 Still I love #Devakshi alot and everyday I wait for clock to strike 9.30pm to watch my favorite show. 😳

A good movie will have an an immediate impact but a good serial/ drama/ daily soap operates a lot differently - let the story unfold and grow on you.

Eagerly waiting to see how the story unfolds!😊
