The current track has created quite an uproar and confusion and debates within ourselves. Though I have my own grievances about the fast forward scripting with this vague realization, I felt the story really connected while watching all episodes together. So as per requests I have put down my understanding in the form of each character perspectives for your view!
Ishwari :
No doubt this mother is a heavily flawed, overly obsessed character . When she told Dev that she gave all her time to raise him even ditching her own daughters so he can be the pillar of strength for this family, I understood her level of obsession. So to expect her to understand Sona's feelings is complete foolishness😆 If we closely watch the episodes,
*She always thought Sona as her nutritionist cum nice girl with whom she can have a friendly conversation. To suddenly accept her as a DIL just because she is Dev's preference was taunting for her. The mother who was made to take every single decision of his life even a shirt is now left out just for blessings of his choice!
* She was never given the time to genuinely try and accept Sona , be that Bedsheet shopping, Family group photo or Sona trying to relate Ishwari with her MIL. It was all too fast and too scary for Ishwari !
* She didn't try to commit suicide but took pills to salvage that devilish thought inside her that she is being unfair to Dev by acting in front of him. It was partly Dev's and partly mama's fault for misguiding.
* Though she send proposal to Sona for her own selfish reasons, she made sure Sona got a good alliance and a good life, so she is not evil as many depict here. A traditional vamp would have destroyed Sona to vanish her from Dev's life😆
* She saw real Dev only on the day he was drunk and realized his intensity of love for Sona and her tainted image in his heart.
*Even a normal person would try to rectify his/her mistakes if realizes hatred/disrespect from closed ones. Here we have an uneducated, impulsive and possessive mother 😆 No wonder she was begging Sona to come back so she can regain that lost position of Godliness in her Son's eyes😛
For Ishwari Dev is her world, she can go to any extend to fulfill his wishes if he really demanded that, without giving a damn about others and their so called feelings. This may sound cruel to others but in her pov she is just fulfilling her only source of happiness -her Son !
Dev:
Dev really dedicated his entire life to his Mom as a gratitude for her past sufferings with Sona being his only preference of his own.
*Dev failed to understand that his mother is always happy regarding his decisions because those decisions were audited and finalized by herself except for Sona! Why won't the poor guy confuse on seeing his mother on death bed then?
* Dev never had to fight hard for Sona as she easily accepted his confession to even know about her real worth No wonder he completely lost his senses seeing her move on so easily.
* Sona never gave her family the deserved importance in front of Dev. Even during the final goodbye conversation she was ready to take care of her family and her engagement if he decides to marry her. Now why will Dev think her family's acceptance is important ?😳 So he rushes to her office like a happy child without thinking about the aftermath her family faced by his drunken fiasco.
* Sona always knew about Ishwari and her decision's importance in Dev's life and so he was genuinely confused at her anger even after hearing his Mom's acceptance
If the sources are to be believed then Dev's complete growth as an independent decision maker can be seen only after his marriage satisfying both important woman of his life😒
Sonakshi:
Sonakshi always have had a great supportive and protective family and was never let to feel hurt until Dev happened to her.
* She fell for Dev solely for his commitment towards his Mom and family, maybe she saw her protective family in the form of Dev😳 No wonder she didn't think about her own family and their acceptance!
* How can this girl go ahead with the engagement when she sees her first love completely slashed with alcohol and unconscious. She invited him because she understood Dev had to break up with her for his Mom and not because he lost his love for her! Though this decision was foolish, a broken heart can never make sense!
* Sona for the first time saw her jovial, supportive family broken up completely and its all because of her fault. She needed time to heal that wound, but seeing Dev the very next day like a giggling child made the matter worse😆 So her outburst is completely justified!
* Sona completely understood Ishwari is at her doorstep solely for her Son and not for her liking towards Sona or her family and so her blatant rejection of the proposal.
I am waiting to see how this girl is melted again so easily by Dev to make her accept for the marriage.
This story has stayed true to everyone's original characterization so far and very very realistic the way they all behave both emotionally and practically because all these people can be seen in real life very much alive!!
