Is being perfect the only criteria for being loved?
Is it so important for us to make the person we love look perfect that we are ready to cross the limits of common sense in trying to white wash them?

Are our parents, children, spouses perfect? Have they never been irrational, weak, wrong hurtful or cowardly. So either we don't love them or try to justify every idiotic action of there's. Or worst we go and lynch the party hurt at their hands just to prove that our loved ones are right?

In childhood when we misbehaved or misused another child did our mother scold us or called that other child demented, cheap, jerk etc.

What would have we thought of our mother after growing up if she had behaved in this fashion?

Why is it so difficult to understand that being handsome, beautiful or romantic doesn't absolve a person of all the sins.

Nor being a guy stuck between two clueless lovers or not being good looking makes one liable to be lynched.

One can love people in spite of them having a thousand defects. Why are we trying to defend every wrong action of the main leads and displaying the famous crab mentality for the side lead.

Yes the main leads have been acting like morons but I still love them and would like them to be happy in spite of that. But that shouldn't stop me from feeling bad for people who ended up being humiliated and hurt because of their idiocy. Nor my criticising the actions of the leads be considered a criminal offence

There is nothing wrong in being fair, is it?

well said! I totally get what you're saying.
People are not perfect and it's normal.

I think there is a difference of opinion here because Love touches everyone differently.

For those lucky ones who loved and won, got wonderful husbands and sporting MILs, will vouch for true love and romance because it got them there. They can't imagine anything less, and it makes them sick to see one walking away from true love however complicated the situation.

And there are those like me, who got bitten and hurt really bad, had to nurse oneself back to health, marry a nice guy and face a difficult fractious MIL, the glow of flowery romance fades in brightness, but gains strength in compassion , understanding and tolerance or enhanced practicality.

depends on which side you belong to. each side perceives things diametrically opposite...

Agree 100%.

You have seen pain in life therefore you can understand human weaknesses much better. Also you know that situations can be worked upon and improved. 👍🏼

You also accept the fallibility of humans. But some are simply trying to twist every weakness as majboori and every good deed as oversmartness or cheap behaviour with nefarious objectives

Couldn't agree more. Love and (most) fear are irrational. And yes as 'AnnzSageflower' says depending on one's experience one's reaction to this story is different.

I can totally relate to Sona, Dev, Ishwari, Neha, Bijoy (being my mum) and Asha (being my dad).
My husband is a Dev. He spent a lot of weekends waiting around me meeting a future partner while he couldn't gather the courage to tell his parents about us!!
He is absolutely brilliant at his job but everywhere else its me who has to be decisive and strong. I make the most difficult decisions in the family and when they go wrong I wish I didn't have to carry the burden (and wish he had helped) but then I can be sure that he will be the one person who won't blame me; just happy to be around and face the consequences, come what may.

The point is, love isn't about being perfect, it is what makes your heart skip a beat, time to stand still and is the thing that happens for a million inexplicable reasons!

I feel the same. That's so true !!! Actually there is a reason why they say "Love is blind" u fall for a person and all rationals fail u don't see the flaws !!sometimes I feel bad that they use words like weak non decisive for Dev without realising he is a human being if u recall on day 2 of their relationship he told sonA that he is complicated man n if she was ready for him ! And she said she was !! What about that promise. Sona realising Dev's weekness should help him and stand for him !! On the contrary sona once said I won't leave u even if dev did but she did not keep that promise so she is week too !!!

Love makes you perfect but does not hold perfection as one of the conditions !!

Having said that I hope they don't track dev's redemption track because at the end of the day they LOVE each other and should always give each other another chance :)

Hugs to you both - Dev and Sona !! You make us think and appreciate :)

Nothinh could have explained people having different take on love and relationship Better than this...we all are different individuals with different lives situations. Relationships and most importantly different experience we get from all these... and we end up thinking and being according to all those experience...nothing wrong or right as such..
I belong to former category..and I am grateful for that 😃

You don't give your emotional self to the best, brightest, and smartest.
You give yourself to someone who has your pulse. ❤️

Love is not perfect...how can lovers be??🤗
