The Dixits never talk about Sr. Mr. Dixit. They have shown Ishwari's childhood stories with mamjee and all the flashbacks are after his death. They never show his birthday/death anniversary etc. Dev lived 11 years of his life with his Dad which means Ishwari lived atleast 12 years with him. I am not saying that there is mystery to his character but looks like he never existed in their life.
