Agree with your points. But that's the whole idea or the storyline. Dev would not fight with his mother atleast not initially but would not leave Sona as well. Me too feel weird everytime I see Ishwari onscreen. God this lady, I hate this character. Her crooked smile makes me sick. She is not honest with even Dev. Oh well waiting for how Ishwari's character will be after 2 weeks.

My POV:

You cannot call it overworship. I have seen such people who can do anything for their parents happiness for the sacrifices they have made to give them a better life. You cannot just say it is the duty of our parents to take care of us. Do only parents have their duty towards the children and when the children grow up they don't have any duty towards the parents?

Dev has seen his mother's struggle to give him education and to survive. She has had a lot of humiliation when Dev was a kid and he has seen all this. He has worked hard to give the luxuries to his family. And his mother's struggle to make him the man he is today is sufficient for him to worship her.

Ishwari mom is wrong on her part. Due to the insecurities and over possessiveness. She thinks Sona is coming inbetween her and Dev, which is not true. Sona is the one who's just sharing Dev's responsibilities..!!! She will take a lot of time to understand that Both Sona and her are equally important for Dev. She is forming an opinion that Dev is spending more time and giving more importance to Sona's choices than Her's.

And for Dev i don't think there's any reason to doubt that he loves Sona deeply. This guy has never ever thought that he'll fall in love someday. He'll have someone in life to take care of him, with whom he can share all his feelings, anxieties, problems, worries and happiness and who will provide him the right solutions. He found a soulmate in Sona. He cannot live without her and this is evident in his actions these days. We need to wait for the future track to unfold before forming opinions i think.

We need to wait and see how Dev and Sona will deal with Ishwari mom's insecurities and unhappiness towards their relationship.

Till then enjoy the current phase and have faith in the makers.😊
