Loved how Dev convinced Sona that money is nothing when compared to her. Money is something that will always come & go, whereas, love is everlasting. And he wouldn't trade her for anything! For Dev its simple, he can live without money, but he cannot live without his love, Sona. He's seen those days when there was no money at all, but he would still pick her if he had to choose between the two. Dev says, "Aapko apne paas rakhne ke liye, aapke saath rehene ke liye, mujhe jo karna hai mein karoonga." ❤️These promises that he's making off late is giving me all the wrong vibes. Because when it comes to the point where he has to choose between his mother & Sona, we all know whom he would choose. He says life without her is impossible & he can't imagine living without her. And she assures him by saying, "Mein aapko promise karthi hoon ki mein aapko chodkar kabhi nahi jaoongi. Aap mujhe chodange, tabhi nahi." ❤️ ❤️Love how she's so strong & it looks like she's preparing herself for the storm already. Poor Sona! I will definitely end up teary eyed when she breaks down. And Dev did let out a sigh of relief when she said this. That need of wanting her to fight for him is all that he wanted to hear. He was assured that she would not let him go. The writers are dropping us way too many hints these days. Start stacking up your tissue boxes guys. This is definitely going to break us all. And they HUGGED! Sigh! My shipper heart is going bonkers.
My heart really goes out to Neha. 😔 Looks like she's back to where she was. I like the fact that she isn't complaining yet. She's still in form. But I'm not sure how long she'll hold up. Ranveer has to do something. The sooner the better. Dev visits Neha & quizzes her if she is happy. He asks her if she needed anything & Ranveer overhears their conversation. Ranveer is a straightforward man. There's no dillydallying & he comes straight to the point. He tells Dev that Neha is his wife now & she's his responsibility & he'll do everything what it takes to fulfill her wishes. He scores a point there. And Dev tells him that just because she's married to him doesn't mean that she's not his sister anymore & if she needs anything he is always there. Dev scores a point as well. Both are right in their very own ways. But ultimately it'll be Neha who has to take a call. Whether she wants to believe in her husband's capabilities & wait patiently or run to her brother for help. Dev's uncertainty & Ranveer's uneasiness was clearly visible. Shaheer & Arjun emoted perfectly. Also would like to add that Ranveer's family are genuinely nice people.
So Ishwari has finally begun to connect the dots 😕 & for starters she's definitely going to create this space between Sona & herself, which will make Sona feel awkward. Dev sends the doctor home to check on Ishwari's knee pain & he tells Ishwari that her caring son, Dev is always worried about her health. And with great pride she says that he's stubborn & doesn't believe her when she says that she is fine. Hearing this Sona says, "Aisi Ma bahut lucky logo ko milti hai, aur aise beta bhi." Ishwari didn't seem to appreciate this comment & gave her the whatever' glance. She doesn't seem too happy to hear an outsider talking about them. Well, when it comes to her & Dev, Sona is definitely an outsider & when it comes to the whole family, Sona is parivar jaisa.
Dev comes home & tells Ishwari to take proper rest & follow the doctors instructions. The doubt is Ishwari's mind is holding her back from being herself to Dev. Dev tells her that he'll take a week off & stay at home to look after her. But she instantly tells him not to ignore his work, to which he replies that his work is not important as her health. And then she drops the bomb by asking him, "Isliye use din tu ne Sonakshi ko, almarhi kolke file lene keliye kaha tha, mujhe nahi." 😕 😕She catches him off guard. Dev doesn't know what to say & she's trying to read his face. He begins to mumble something, when she immediately says that he doesn't spend enough time with her. Dev is still figuring out what to tell her, but she cuts him off again telling him to just spend time with her & then she'll be perfectly fine. I felt as if deep down Ishwari knew that there was something between Dev & Sona, and at the same time she wasn't ready to know about it & she didn't want Dev to give her any explanation. Ignorance is bliss, is very apt in this situation. This side-lining attitude is not going to work for long. From day one, I've been telling that she's a smart woman & she'll figure things out soon. Neha's wedding kept her pre-occupied, but now she's all alert already.
Then comes, Dev & Sona's scene ... Aww these two, definitely need their daily dose of mushiness. Guess that's what keeps them going. Well, we need it too. So, am not complaining at all. She walks into his room while he was wearing his shirt & he teases her saying that she loves to walk in whenever he's changing his clothes. She tells him to wear something else, to which he teasingly says, "Aap saaf saaf kyun nahi kehethe ki aap chahathi ki mein shirt na pehenu." ahem ahem... Am sure we would love to get a glimpse of Dev's chiselled body.. Sona would love too. Sona tells him, "Mein bohot hi sanskaari hoon." The moment she blurted this out, I was sure we were going to get something way too romantic. Dev gets into a challenge mode, walks towards her, he's staring at her & asks her, "Tho mujhe dekh ke tumhe kuch nahi hota."❤️ ❤️ Sona says, "Nahi!" He takes another step towards her & asks her, "Jab mein paas aajaoon, dil ki dhadkan tezz nahi hoti?" She says no again. He closes the distance between them & rests one hand over her shoulder & asks, "Itne paas aajaoon, tab bhi nahi?" She declines again. He's looking deep into her eyes, rests his other hand over her other shoulder & locks her & teasingly asks again, "Ab bhi nahi?" Sona comes out of the trance & immediately pushes him away & blushingly says, "Hoti hai, hoti hai." Dev almost did a victory dance in his head...A much needed breather (romantic scene).
Sona gifts Dev a photo frame, with a collage of Neha's wedding pics. She says, "Zindagi mein khushi ke mauke bohot kam dekhne ko milte hai, isliye usse bachake rakna chahiye." Was trying to figure out if the khushi ke mauke was Neha's marriage, which may be too short or the khushi ke mauke, the good times that Dev & Sona had during the wedding which was going to be too short? 😕 😕 Can be both I guess. Too too many hints, I say!
GKB is back in action! I so didn't miss her at all. 😲 As Dev was about to leave for work, Ishwari gets a call from Neha. She looks worried & when Dev asks her what had happened, she asks him,"Tu mujhse kya chupa raha." Dev is in shock again wondering what to tell her, when Ishwari asks him if he went to Neha's house. He tells her that he went to check if Neha needed anything. She is upset that he went to meet her, met her in-laws, spent time with them & he still didn't tell her anything about it. She understands that he was worried about Neha & tells him to let her live her life. Too much of interference is not good. She says, "Zaroorat se zaiyda koi cheez achi nahi hoti." I hope she'll understand this too one day. She's unhappy that Dev's been hiding things from her & he's going away from her. I really don't know how her head works. And I finally hope that Dev tells her soon about Sona. Else things are going to get more complicated than what it is already.
