As of now - he is living in this happy bubble and when that breaks it is all over. And I repeat all over - from his side. Someone other than him has to take the first sep forward. And let me tell you why ..
For males in India - who have been taught the chauvinistic lesson - ki mard ko dard nahi hota - it takes a great guts to open up to a person of the same gender, let alone oppsite gender.
In the promo - I never though about it that way - personally I felt that he was just relishing in her touch - letting the irony mock him - that smile never reached hi eyes - even the karela juice - you can feel the pain in their smiles. The fact that he doesn't care about the physical - but emotional - is what makes him not let go . personally I think, ki woh apne maa ko is liye nahi mana kar paa raha - kyunki he loves his mother over Sonakshi - it is because somewhere in the back of his mind, ishwari - is his mother who brought him up without a father, getting beatings and scolding from people during work - every endurance for them (the kids) - tho woh kaise uski AB ki khushiyan cheen sakta hai - he is helpless - he is innocent and soemone with strong moral and emotional values - itne saalon ki baad uski maa ko apni khushiyan waapas mili hai - aur wo APNE liye, kaise uski cheen sakta hai - kyunki usne HAMESHA bachpan mein BACCHON ke baare mein socha. That is the issue. I don't think Dev will do anything - his mind and heart are caged and he has already lost in the battle. Kuch karna hai tho woh Ishwari ko hi hai - maybe even Sonakshi ...no not his sisters(maybe Neha - catalyst)
But he is emotinally attached with Sonakshi - she is literally his ray of hope and light - she brought him to life -he cannot let go - his heart and mind - unknowingly has threaded with hers and CANNOT let go. And he knows his helplessness - isilye tho kah raha hai ki woh use itni importance na de ki woh use hurt kar sake. His life is messed up - was she readyto deal with the difficulty - and what did she say ? - agar hum saath honge tho kuch be mumkin hai . Now this saath will come into play later on. Only then does she even have a chance of winning !
Jyo pyar nafrat, insecurities, misunderstandings mein pali hokar bhujne ki bajay jeeth jaaye na - woh hota hai saccha pyar - aur use koyi bhi break nahi kar sakta - -only then true love wins - no matter what the relationship !!
