Sony and Yash Patnaik's Kuch Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi geared up for the most beautiful confession. Filled with simplicity and true realistic expectations, the romantic moment between Dev Dixit (Shaheer Sheikh) and Sonakshi Bose (Erica Fernandes) has been scripted and executed very well.
The most awaited moment aired yesterday as already created buzz with immense appreciation from the viewers. Let's look at the 5 high points of the confession scene.
1) Simple And Realistic
These days, we have seen couples propose to their loved one taking them through a set of surprise letters or puzzles. Sometimes even visiting places where they've had their first date, first kiss, first valentine's date..etc.
Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi just showcased the same realistic case with Dev and Sonakshi. Dev shared his bittersweet moments as he gave Sonakshi a glimpse of his childhood memories.
He knew the colors of a rainbow, but for a second he didn't stop to experience it as he would be out delivering newspapers during his childhood. He would go for tutions at night as his mom would walk him there. He shared sugar during the time Nikki was born in the moment of joy, but had been scolded by his mother as they had to drink tea without sugar for two days.
Listening to him, Sonakshi feels his emotions and understands his past. He has shared his past with Sonakshi, however these were those memories that only a few people in his life would ever know.
2) No Bollywood Background Score
Indian television has recently been trending with Bollywood background scores when it comes to the small screen confessions. Whether it was Pavitra Rishta's Arjun and Purvi, or perhaps any other show. This confession in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi just was simple, without any of the hard hitting or soft tunes. Stepping away from the glamorous confessions, a viewer will find this as a nice change from the usual.
3) Straight Cut... I Love You
After a poetic line, Dev decides to stay it all loud and clear without any error of misunderstanding. The seriousness takes over for that moment as he utters 'Ms. Sonakshi Bose, I love you'. Furthermore he clarifies, 'I love you as a man loves a woman'.
The execution and dialogues throughout the scene were natural and touching. Hats off to the makers for making this a mature confession.
4) Subtle Moments
Who says, that complements are always poetic lines? Another high point in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi's confession episode was just seen in the car as well. They remembered the moment when Dev and Sonakshi were home when the lights went off and Dev was soon seen bursting out laughing. His attention into Sonakshi's earrings will left her stunned and blushing. This particular moment in itself was nothing huge, but it conveyed a lot.
These subtle memories conveyed his complements. There wasn't a need for a flashback, music, or poetic lines.
5) A Hug To Embrace Each Other And Their Feelings
No one had to fight to hug, as seen in serials these days. After hearing the three words Sonakshi was dying to hear, all her emotions just came pouring out. She couldn't believe it, but yet was all ready to embrace her love. She simply wanted a hug, a comforting feeling, an assurance of what just happened. She accepted him as he had always been. The hug was filled with all colors of love.
Both have started to view the world through each other's eyes and it has been shown time and time again. That's why they've seen the different colors of life which has bloomed from their love towards each other.
