Devakshi OS - Color Green

Hola everyone ! This is my first try on OS. I am not sure how it will turn up. I am not very good with words and expressions. Pardon me if u don't like it much. However i would love everyone's feedback.

Background - Dev's has agreed to marry Natasha, purely for business purposes. But before their marriage, Ishwari wants Neha to be married. Neha has fallen for Ranveer. Sonakshi has helped Neha in realising her feelings for Ranveer. Sona and become very close to Neha in this small span of time. Sonakshi's parents have also selected a bengali boy for Sonakshi. She has met the guy and agreed for marriage.

Day - Neha's Engagement.

It was a day of chaos at Dixit Mansion. Week of preparations were done for this day. Being Neha's best friend now, Sona was supervising each and every aspect of the preparations.

"Riya, Nikki ye kya, tum logon ne ye rangoli abhi tak khatam nahiki? Mahurat ka time ho raha hai. Jaldi jaldi karo." said Sonakshi sweeping her hands through her hair. "Lagta hai ye kaam ab mujhe hi khatam karna padega." she continued shaking her head in disappointment. She looked a little exhausted with all the week's work and planning.

"What to do Sona Di? Riya didi ne itna time lagaya taiyaar hone me, jaise ki inhi ki engagement ho" quickly replied Nikki. Riya got irritated and said " Acha maine time lagaya, aur tu jo bathroom me ek ghante ke liye band ho gayi thi uska kya?"

"Ok. Ok.. Don't fight now. I will go n get ready and then help you guys with the Rangoli. I have to check if Neha is ready or not." said Sonakshi with some worry on her face. Sonakshi looked at her watch. "It was 5:00 pm. She is not even ready. The function will start in an hour", she thought and made a move to Neha's room. Inside the room, she saw Neha, all ready for the occasion.

"Nervous?" asked Sona. " Bahot jyada" replied Neha. "Don't be. You are looking so beautiful today!" said Sona with a bright smile on her face which gave Neha some comfort." Neha was indeed looking very beautiful in a peach and blue lehenga. She had a sparkle in her eyes which reflected her happiness.

"Neha are you ready or not" entered Dev and questioned. " Haan Bhai main ready soon. Don't worry". replied Neha and continued her conversation with Sona"Arrey Sona aaj Mr. Arnob aa rahe hain na? Maine bola the tujhe unko invite karne ke liye. Hum bhi toh dekhe teri choice." "Haan invite toh kayak hai maine, aate hi honge." replied Sonakshi. Dev who was standing there listening to the conversation did not looked very comfortable. He left immediately. "Ye bhaiya ko kya hua? Ekdum se aaye our chale gaye. Itne unpredictable hain na." Said Neha. Sona did not know how to reply so she just smiled."I will go and get ready now. Already late hun" said Sonakshi. She picked the dress she packed in the morning while leaving from her home. She knew she may not get enough time to come home to dress up for the evening. "You can get ready here. Mujhe company mil jaegi. Bahot bore ho rahi hun akele. Sab log tine busy hain." said Neha. Sona smiled and locked the door from inside to get ready.

Meanwhile, Mr. Gujral and Natasha arrived to attend the engagement. Dev greeted them and started discussing business as he was assured all the preparation work was already taken care by Sona. He saw his mother sitting with Pandit ji and engrossed in conversation so he did not interrupt her.

Nikki came running to Natasha "Aap please humari help karo na. Hume ek kaam diya the Sona di ne, rangoli banane ka aur humne woh bhi poora nahi kiya." " Nikki tera kaam hai khud pura kar", Dev intervened. "Arrey, of course i will help you Nikki." quickly replied Natasha and continued "where is your Rangoli?". Nikki got happy and asked her to follow. She showed the half done rangoli to Natasha " Wow! it is coming up nicely. Chalo jaldi se finish kar date hain", said Natasha. She tried sitting down on the floor but her heavy dress was not meant for sitting on the floor. She wore a fuschia coloured lehenga which had very heavy embroidery and stone work. Realizing her inconvenience, Dev came and told her, " Aap rehne dijiye. Please i insist. Ye koi aur kar lega." Natasha gave up and smiled. She was anyways not in a mood to spoil her designer dress.

"Sona Di !! " shouted Nikki. Dev turned and saw Sonakshi and froze for a moment. She was looking stunning in beige and orange lehenga. Her tiny waist was visible through the net dupatta. The curls of her hair were set loose today and were placed on one side of her face. With minimal jewellery and makeup she was still looking so beautiful. Dev was mesmerized with her beauty when he got interrupted by Natasha, "Let us go Dev."

He sat down with Mr. Gujral but his eyes were trying to catch a glimpse of Sona all the time. "How comfortably she was sitting on the floor helping Riya and Nikki with the rangoli". He was wondering. Soonthe rangoli was done. Sona got up and started looking for Keechu bhaiya. "Pata nahi darwaze pe phool lagaye ki nahi? Main hi dekh kar aati hun." She asked Nikki to follow her and went outside to check "Arrey ye kaise lagaya hai? Nikki tu ye stool pakad main theek kar detihun." Nikki followed her orders without uttering a word. Sonakshi climbed up the stool and started adjusting the flowers with one hand, using the other hand for support. Dev came out and was watching her from a safe distance. Just then Sona lost her grip and tripped. Dev ran for her rescue. Sona closed her eyes with fear of falling down on ground. But she didn't. She was saved by two strong hands. Dev was looking all this from a distance. Sonakshi in the arms of another man who looked good looking, well educated and most importantly was so mesmerized with Sona. Who is this guy? Dev thought. His face was turning red with anger or jealousy, he was not sure. But he was feeling something sinking in his heart.

Sona opened her left eye to find who saved her "Arrey Arnob aap!" she exclaimed with a sigh of relief.
