Well, he was just acting like a baddie so his father won't do anything to stop her wedding. He liked Nethra, but when he comes to know about Jeeva, he changed his mind, as he doesn't want a girl who loves another man.

(PS: It is possible that he is just acting or has raped her, coz he slapped her and she fainted. They didn't show what happened after that, only when she wakes up again in a strange place)-.

You are right about the josiar, why cannot he predict about her daughter. I think from now on, parvathi will thinks Lakshu as the woman who stole the man from her daughter, and a big war between them.
