hahaha.......... Leena........... Meena olden time actress?!! Poor Meena!!! 😆 She should be in early 30s (or even late 20s) Poor Meena. If she read your message, she would surely faint.😃

But I would like to give a real life incident that took place a few years ago. Meena and her mother were in Malaysia for shooting, and they were shopping in KLCC (it is big mall centre and next to famous Twin Towers). Anyway, in one of the supermarkets, some local Indians women and men who are working there, and only abt 2-3 them, saw Meena, and began hovering and waiting for her to finsih her shopping so that they can shake her hands and get autograph. But Meena and her mother pretended not see them, and started to walk away. One of the girls got angry, and said something like "naadigai yenna periya nallupu" and next time I won't watch her movies. Then another guy said yengalatum fans illatina ivenge yellam koopathoti. Meena walked away in red face. The next time she went back to the same supermarket, she was totally ignored and given cold shoulder. Even other customers got warm greetings but not Meena.. Other races who were working there, were teasing their Indian colleagues that Indian actress/actors are arrogant unlike other races actor/actress. Infact the non Indian workers too ignored Meena and felt bad on behalf of their Indian colleagues.

When I heard the story from one of the guys himself, I felt sorry. Because these people are standing on their feet the whole day 8-10 hours without any rest and they are least paid. It is not everyday they get to meet a celebrity and Meena was not ambushed with a crowd. There were only few people who are waiting for her. Even a couple of them were non Indians. Meena could just approached them and said hello. She had peaceful time doing her shopping.

Our ex Prime Minister enjoys shopping at this supermarket. Whenever he comes there, he carries his own basket. He finds few minutes in his busy schedule to shake hands and say hello to the staff. My friend was very impressed with our PM..

thanks for sharing that with us caryn. it was horrid of meena to do that. i myself have heard about her tantrums quite a few times though i haven't met her personally. but when she came to singapore in 1999 or 2000, she was nice to the fans. my aunt got an autograph from her & said she was really sweet.😉 so i guess meena behaves differently to different people.😆😆😆
